Flying Monkey Toy Emporium — Local services in Oldsmar

My daughter ran across this shop in a neighborhood post and alerted me that they carry comics., so I had to check it out. It is in the center of a small strip of shops on a side street. So you need to watch for it.

Wow! When the owners call it a Toy Emporium, that’s a real understatement! There are so many items placed in side rooms and all over the place, I have not seen this volume except in large dealers at the Tampa Comic & Toy Con! And these are not “toys” so much as Collectibles.

Their stock includes classic car models, Hot Wheels, miniature figurines, super heroes, trucks, games and lots more. All the rooms and displays have themes. Imagine a whole room filled with nothing but Hot Wheels collectibles, old and new. It does feel a bit claustrophobic in small rooms packed full.

They do have comics but not in the normal sense. There are more than 20 long boxes of comics, each can hold up to 150 comics. These are all for $1.00 each, or you can buy an entire box for $60, and you pick the comics. I admit I did eventually walk out with a long box of comics. These are basically to donate to several charities such as Comics For Kids, for kids in hospitals and treatment centers. Also Comics For Military for traveling military members in USO locations.
