Whiskey Wings Oldsmar — Restaurant in Oldsmar

Stopped by here twice, different Sundays. First one to celebrate our grandson’s 15th birthday. Then the next Sunday to celebrate our granddaughter’s 12th birthday on Tuesday. Both wanted to come specifically for their oversized Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.

Both were right after church. The first a party of six, the second a party of five. Both times we were seated right away. Both times we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches and burgers. The first time I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad, plus Onion Rings to share.

The second Sunday was again Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches and the 11 year old and friend both ordered kid’s meals burgers. I had two tooth implants done two days prior so I was on soft foods. We asked about the sign that kids under 12 eat free on Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday, so asked the waitress and were told the deal was good.

Fried Pickles came first, the 11 year old is a pickle freak. She always asks for extra pickles on her burgers and couldn’t pass up Fried to celebrate her birthday. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches were huge! I did have to try a bite. Onion rings were great, birthday girl loved the Fried Pickles. First celebration was Fried Cheesecake and Brownies for 6. Fewer people for second celebration was just the Fried Cheesecake. Both were excellent.

Food and service were great. A bit noisy at times but ok. The big issue came when the waitress came back and said they would not honor the Kids Under 12 Eat Free, because they don’t honor it on football Sundays??? We pointed to two signs on the wall with no mention of “football Sundays” but to no avail. And they obviously don’t tell the wait staff either.

That’s a shame because this was going to be a 5 star review until that happened. Change the sign...

Currently waiting for my to go order. First time customer. The food is reasonably priced and looks good, and the drinks are good. The reason I’m writing this review is because I ordered 18 wings. I wanted to split the sauces up into thirds. The bartender outside informed me that that wasn’t possible. I would have to order them individually as orders of 6 or get the sauce on the side. Or be charged extra for each order. I’ve worked in restaurants before in my past, and honestly this is the most ludicrous and cheap thing ever!!! The wings all come out of the deep fryer in a giant batch. It’s not hard to count out 3 orders of six and drop them into the sauces. Mind you it’s a pandemic for starters and secondly there’s about 8 people here total. And you really have to charge people extra to split sauces???? That’s sad. I did it anyway, but they will not get my business again because in my own opinion that is really messed up. Besides that the bartender outside who took my order didn’t even ask if I was done ordering and closed it to go talk to her friends. Thankfully another really sweet employee (wish I got her name) asked me if I needed anything and I had her add on the fries since the bartender is apparently incompetent at her job with 8 people because her friends are there. Thank you to the other waitress and it’s a shame how they treat you when they are empty inside. I can only imagine when they...

This is usually a good place. I have been many times. I arrived on Saturday afternoon. A good band playing outside. There were only a couple tables full. I sat at bar. Only one other person was at bar. The bartender took my drink order and gave me menu and after few minutes tokk my order and entered in computer. But she was not the real bartender. She was a server helping. The real bartender came out and chatted with the other customer who seemed to be a regular. The bartender looked ate NEVER said a word to me. She then proceeded to enter her meal in computer as I heard her talking to the regular about what she was getting. Again walked pst me NEVER said a word like I was not there. My food was delivered by a kitchen staff. Bartender saw but NEVER said a word or asked if I needed anything. Food was good I ordered grilled chicken dinner. When I was done eating the bartender walked past me several times NEVER SAID ANYTHING. About 5th trip past me she finally came over and took dirty dish. And NEVER said anything or asked me how was my meal. That is SO ODD. She came back several minutes later and look at me and Finally says "Any dessert?" I said no of course. I asked for the check. She printed chech and placed it in front of me NEVER said anything. I paid and left. I will wait until that bartender is not working before I visit this place again. SO...
