Updated Review: Best. Date. Night. Ever. We went to FlameStone Grill Oldsmar tonight because we went before and Kosta Fyrogenis didn't remember. I only brought it up because I got to thank you for my Google review from 5 months ago. I suggest is a date night and that's not really something that we do so of course it was left up to me and the gears started to turn. It's date night! I tried to triangulate the restaurant with somewhere we could stop along the way for a nice bike ride. It was beautiful and we stopped for a drink at HOB Brewing Company and LORT was Stephanie wonderful! Oof! We cruised to the restaurant and were seated quickly. I didn't mean to make a fuss but I asked them if we could have the same exact table because I thought it would bring back memories and he would realize where we were. He did!! They didn't have his steak but we had a beautiful dinner and quality time is something that you can't buy. Since I had to make the reservations online, I decided to put a silly thing in the notes. I always do that for any delivery thing so that they know that they can park in the driveway, they can knock on the door or that I have snacks. I looked at my reservations but I can't find the way that I worded it. I asked if the server could slip in somehow "I love you in the face!" because that is what Kosta and I say to each other all the time. Y'all. Taylor wrote it in caramel with two raspberry hearts!! If you are in the industry or do anything with food then you will know that caramel sticks and raspberry does not have the viscosity to be able to stay in a heart on a plate. Her effort is the only thing that matters. Of course our food was amazing but Taylor really made the day. 🥰 It's the little things that money can't buy that make me truly happy. ✌️🫶. My husband and I were going to go to a roadhouse for a steak so I decided to look and see what was close and looked way better. This fine establishment popped up and we changed our destination and I am SO happy we did!!! We got a couple margaritas and I ordered the sea bass. It was awesome. For those of you who don't know sea bass is basically a swimming stick of butter. You're welcome. My husband ordered a giant porterhouse with the mushroom skillet and it was great. He likes his steak medium well and it takes a certain amount of finesse to cook a steak to that temperature and it does not have the texture of a wet mop. Also, if you don't know, a porterhouse is a NY strip and a filet separated by a bone. It was so, so good. As if that wasn't enough, we just went for full gluttony and got two desserts. There was a hazelnut flavored special of the day so we got that and creme brulee. Y'all. Totally worth the calories, but this is NOT a roadhouse and is not a great place to have a reasonably priced meal. Our final bill was $$180 plus tip (we tip well). This will be a 'sometimes' place for us, but dang was it good. Our server Hilda (I apologize if I got her name wrong but she was wonderful)! She was attentive, super sweet and we really enjoyed having her as our server. We had a little chat with the manager who is on it! Opening the door for people, general niceties and such, WAY more effort than a roadhouse!!!

I am so sad right now. Let me say right off when I made the reservation I asked if the regular menu was available and I was told YES, but it was indeed NOT. 3 of us went in for Easter brunch with a 1:30 reservation. We were seated promptly. Our server Alexandra came over and took our order for guacamole and drinks. She advised us we would be waiting a long time because it was Easter Sunday. We thought this odd as we have been to many local establishments on holidays and never had a server tell us up front that we would be waiting a very long time for our food. NOT a good start to what was supposed to be a relaxing time. Our drinks took much longer than usual to come out. The guacamole Guac Star came over and made our fresh guac which was awesome. We finished our guac and drinks. Waited and waited and waited some more for the server to come back so we could order our food, eventually we tracked down a different server and asked for another round of drinks and waters and requested our server. I understand they were busy due to it being Easter Sunday however caring service could have made this experience much better. Unfortunately, in the hour and a half that it took to get our food (which seemed like 4 hours) the server showed up maybe 4 times. 3 times we had to flag down a different server passing by us. Some bread in between the wait could have been offered and we certainly could have done without our server's bad attitude in response to our overall dissatisfaction to our terrible dining experience. We finally tracked down our server and asked where our food was as it was close to 3pm and breakfast was no longer sounding very appetizing. She went to check and 10 minutes later came back with the food and she said, "this was the fastest order of the day" We rushed our food down in less than 10 minutes as we were all starving by this time. I definitely do not recommend Flamestone Grill on any type of holiday. There must have been 1 chef maybe 2 and there was no supervision anywhere to be found. A real disappointment considering we frequent Flamestone at times twice per month and we love the food, but it seems to be very unorganized on holidays to say the least. We will reconsider visiting here in the future. Worse dining experience yet. I must say everything was fantastic. From the bubbly berry Martini , the French Rose wine. Amazing mushroom truffle Flatbread, cauliflower app was to die for. My husband's baby back ribs dynamite and my salmon dinner perfection! Service with Gerald excellent !

Flamestone is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, the food never disappoints, the service is always incredible and the cozy romantic atmosphere is perfection. We have been enjoying Flamestone for brunches, date nights, special occasions and everything in between for years. I could write a novel about the many things I adore about this restaurant but for the sake of time, here are some of the most notable highlights. First, the food! We have brunch there nearly every Sunday, the brunch menu is the perfect mix between creative new dishes and timeless classics. (Try the short rib Benedict it’s so tasty!), for drinks they have a few fun morning cocktails but the star of the show is the mismosa and Bloody Mary bar, it has the best flavors and fixings for any brunch-lover to mix and match all morning. If you’ve never been in for brunch I highly recommend it but get reservations because it tends to fill up fast. As for dinner, I have had the joy of sampling nearly every item on the menu and you would be hard-pressed to find a single thing that isn’t amazing. The prime rib is flavorful and juicy, the flatbreads are well crafted and cooked in the wood fired oven. The New York strip is my favorite item and let me just tell you, Flamestone is THE BEST place to grab a steak in the area. Also don’t forget to try their signature tableside guac, it’s customizable and made right at the table by their talented “guac-stars”. I always look forward to trying the weekly specials because the chef always comes up with an exciting new creation for me to enjoy. And don’t even get me started on dessert! 😍 giant chocolate cake, creamy crème brûlée, and my favorite: the s’mores! Finally let’s talk about the people who make this place incredible: the owners are the most kind and hospitable people in the world, you can tell how much they love this place and how much they care about their customers, I always love coming in and seeing Ginny, Pete and Dino, they always puts a smile on my face. The manager Mike is fantastic, he runs a tight ship, he genuinely cares about his team, and he always has our favorite table ready for us. The staff over all is like family to us, the bartenders are talented and fast, the servers are friendly, skilled and knowledgeable, and each one of them brings their own flare to the experience. I can’t say enough about how much we love coming here and we look forward to many, many years of enjoying everything that Flamestone has to offer!

Flamestone American Grill on Tampa Road in Oldsmar is one of those rare restaurants that gets everything right—from the moment you pull into the parking lot to the final bite of dessert. If you're looking for a place that offers top-tier food, outstanding service, great drinks, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, this is it.

Let’s start with the parking—yes, parking. It’s plentiful and easily accessible, which immediately sets the tone for a stress-free visit. Once inside, the ambiance is welcoming and upscale without feeling pretentious. Whether you’re coming for a casual night out or a celebratory dinner, the setting feels just right.

The bar area is a highlight in itself. It’s sleek, well-stocked, and staffed with friendly, knowledgeable bartenders who take real pride in their craft. The cocktail menu is creative and well-balanced—classic enough to please traditionalists but inventive enough for those who like something different. Their smoked Old Fashioned is a showstopper, both in flavor and presentation. And for wine or beer lovers, the selection is broad and thoughtfully curated.

The staff at Flamestone is phenomenal. From the hosts to the servers, everyone is friendly, attentive, and professional. You feel genuinely welcomed and never rushed. The service is consistently excellent, which makes every visit a pleasure.

The menu is where Flamestone truly shines. It’s packed with flavorful dishes that are both comforting and refined. The tableside guacamole is a must—it’s fresh, fun, and full of flavor. For entrees, you can’t go wrong with the wood-fired steaks, cedar-planked salmon, or the signature flatbreads. Every dish is cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Even the side dishes—like truffle mac and cheese or garlic mashed potatoes—feel like stars on their own.

Save room for dessert! Flamestone’s dessert menu is anything but an afterthought. The tableside crème brûlée is silky, rich, and perfectly torched. The flourless chocolate cake is decadent and deeply satisfying. Each dessert is thoughtfully prepared and ideal for sharing (or not!).

What truly makes Flamestone special is its consistency. No matter how busy it gets—and it does get busy—the quality never slips. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are always on point. It’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again, whether you’re a local or just visiting the Tampa Bay area.

In short, Flamestone American Grill is everything a great restaurant should be: delicious, reliable, welcoming, and memorable. Between the easy parking, amazing food and drinks, friendly staff, and indulgent desserts, it checks every box....
