We were having issues with our Frigidaire gas oven. The appliance store we purchased it from is no longer in business. I called another appliance store where we have bought several appliances & they said they do not work on appliances that are not purchased from them. I tried another store and was told the same thing. I called Hometown Appliance in Olney, Illinois and they were very helpful. They scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out. I described the issue we were having with our oven and they said most likely it was an igniter issue. The technician was very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He had it diagnosed and replaced the igniter in a very short time. I highly recommend Hometown Appliance as they will work on appliances that are not purchased from them. Purchased a refrigerator from Hometown and had a good experience. Their store appears small, but it’s packed with a lot of inventory, including refrigerators. They carry a variety of budget/basic models to high end appliances. They had what we wanted on the floor, delivered and installed it, removing our old fridge. I should also mention they have very experienced, professional service personnel. We had our old fridge examined for service, and it was clearly explained to us why it was irreparable. He also looked at our other appliances at our request and gave us some good tips for extending their lives and improving their performance.
