I gave 2 stars because the people were really nice. (I changed that due to a shady business practice. See the review update.)However, my hair has been destroyed. I searched for weeks-months for a place with an experienced person in Japanese hair straightening. I finally found one. I got an in person consult and learned she had 10-11 years experience and has done a lot of these perms. I have had them done in the past so I know what to expect. She told me 3 hours and @ $110 an hour it was about $330 total. I agreed bc I absolutely love how my hair looks afterwards. I was seen from 1pm until about 320... so not a full 3 hours... so that was the first thing I wasnt thrilled about when you pay $110 an hour. She said she started a new system for these perms and kept looking at instructions, which now made me a bit nervous bc I thought I was going to someone who had all this experience. Then at the eknd my hair was FRIED. I'm going to have to get a drastic cut to fix it. I spoke with them about my disappointment and I was told it was due to the condition of my hair. I thought that was why we had to do an in person consultation was so she could check the condition of my hair. They offered a conditioning treatment which cannot fix the amount of damage. So now I have to spend more money somewhere else to get a hair cut....

Update: my review was posted to the business Facebook page. That review has been removed somehow from fb! The person who posted can still see it but now none else can. So no one else will be able to see that review. This is a shady business practice. Nothing in my post was a lie or exaggeration. Now I wonder how many reviews they hid...

Firstly, I just want to say that the first time I came here I got my hair cut by the owner and she did a really good job. So much so, that I decided to come back. However, with that said, the time management is horrible. My first time coming here, I had booked my appointment a week out and was very flexible with day/time, so they weren't "squeezing" me in. But when I arrived she was still doing someone else's hair, and literally waited 30-45 minutes. Right when I got in the seat, her next client was already there! So she was rushing through my haircut. On top of that, she was blabbing about what she was going to do with her next clients hair, while talking to her. Umm hello, this is MY time right now.

I scheduled a second appointment anyways, hoping that it would be different. NOPE! This next time she was so overbooked (or behind) that when I arrived (right on time) the receptionist told me "oh I was about to call you to see if you would like to reschedule". Kind of too late for that, don't ya think? So I opted to have someone else cut my hair instead, and while she was super nice, I did not like the cut at all. My bangs were badly chopped and when she was framing the front it somehow hurt super bad, felt like she was pulling hair out. Because of this, I will not be returning. I’d give a 3 star on hair but because of the amount of stress and poor communication I had to endure after leaving the salon on my wedding day I will leave 1 star. I gave reference images that gave a soft “glam” makeup with simple lashes… after looking at it in the sunlight and in my rear view mirror I couldn’t help but be completely heartbroken and have a breakdown in my car. Not only was I initially told over the phone that I was going to be charged a deposit for a percentage of my service charges which originally was $197… SOMEHOW it turned into $272 after the services. I felt like a clown the makeup felt caked on, the blush used was made for a darker complexion, the foundation did not match my skin tone, the lashes used fell off completely an hour after the service, which I didn’t even get to use for my ceremony, the eyeshadow colors used and blending made me look 10 years older and like a cartoon character. I felt like I came prepared and did what I could to make their job easier and in return left disappointed with the most important detail for my wedding memories.
