10/10 Experience, Recommend Mr. Rice

I ordered through DoorDash for Delivery, but my order was cancelled by DoorDash. I figured no biggy, I’ll go into the store and just order. I get there and the staff were SO apologetic and nice about it, even though it was 100% on DoorDash. They even gave me a coupon for my troubles!

Now as for the food and everything else. Simply amazing. Usually when you get take out you get the normal white plastic bags and the styrofoam containers. But here they step it up, they give you a nice custom bag that seals shut, and quality plastic food bowls that are more than big enough to accommodate their larger portion sizes.

We tried the Sesame and Orange Chicken and it was simply amazing. You know how sometimes places will have chewy pieces of chicken? Or maybe it’s a bit too soggy?

Mr Rice has none of these problems.

This place is like if Panda Express had a smaller menu but improved food quality by 33%. My son and I each had rice bowls that we could not finish despite their being delicious. The ingredients were very high quality. The rice actually warmed up to almost like new 24 hours later. The shrimp were large and crisp. The chicken was tender (didn’t try the fried chicken options).

It is in a food court which has its blessings and curses. I’m sure it keeps rent down so prices stay low. But you can’t give it 5 ⭐️ for “Atmosphere” in a food court.

The food took longer than expected to arrive, but that is because they were very busy with takeout orders. Happy to see that!

🥟s were good, but not memorable. Would eat them again, but not needed given the plenty supplied by the bowls.

When they ask spice level go up one from what you would say at a Thai or Indian restaurant. Not the same level.

I decided to treat myself today and looked for a teriyaki place in Omaha. I ordered the awesome chicken and shrimp (spicy). I was used to the typical "Yaki joints" in the Seattle area. This was sooo much better. I ordered it for delivery to my office. I got a huge bowl, much bigger order of gyoza than I expected. Plus it all came in a reusable satchel with a post it note thanking me for ordering. I felt very special and want to visit this place to see the actual atmosphere inside. I rarely do reviews but this place is definitely worth it. Next time I'll get the Special chicken and short ribs. Everything is packed with flavor and love. So fresh tasting as well. I couldn't finish it but will happily eat the leftovers tomorrow. I also had 2 coworkers taste it and they plan on patronizing this place based on...
