Avoid at all costs. This used to be a good place to shop with reasonable prices and coupons. Now they advertise the coupons everywhere in the store and on the website, but the trick is that you have to have a JCPenney card to use any of the coupons, or so they claim at the checkout. They also refuse to price match off their own website. I found an item that was in stock in the store, and asked to pay the price that was on the website. No can do. The best part is they claimed it was because their coupons "hadn't started yet" because they run from May 19th to May 21st. Today is May 20th. How does that magic or math work? Then they tried very hard to pressure me into buying the thing anyway by applying a smaller coupon. Lo and behold the item turned out on the register to have the same price it was being advertised as online! But this quickly disappeared from the register screen for some reason, and it turned out we couldn't use the smaller coupon because no JCPenney card again... Even though I'm standing there with the coupon on my phone which says nothing about needing a JCPenney card, and which can be used online without needing a JCPenney card. They should be paying me for the amount of time I wasted messing around with their dishonest nonsense. I can't claim to speak for all customers but also would guess people are more likely to buy clothing in a store where someone takes the trouble to run a disinfectant wipe across the surface of the changing room once in a while, to remove the obvious blood or poop or whatever stains those were. Overall, deeply regret...
Read moreOn November 1st I took my daughters to get coats. After finding a coat where the size small was too small, I had the cashier online order a size medium and ship to my house. The zipper broke already, and the brand, free country, has a website that says to return to the store of purchase. I tried to exchange at this store today and JCPenney would not exchange it. It was found out that the JCPenney cashier on November 1st that placed the order did not enter my phone number or email correctly, thus they could not use those items to find the sale. I had my credit card used as well as the address JCPenney shipped to, but JCPenney’s system was unable to find a transaction using those methods either. So due to a JCPenney employee unable to enter a correct phone number or email address on November 1st at 7pm, and due to JCPenney not having a system that can look up orders by shipping address or the card used, JCPenney would not honor an exchange. I did not have my receipt since I purchased last month, but JCPenney has a no receipt return policy on their website which they would not honor as well. With that being said I absolutely would not let JCPenney cashiers place on online...

Now at last minute my daughter who wasted her time yesterday and gas money ... will have to redo my hair. The managers were horrible. Also the store lookes so old and run down. Just a horrible...
