Island Thrift — Local services in Orange Beach

It is a small little shop that they have filled to the rafters with lots of things to buy. Unfortunately I have only walked out with one thing in the multiple stops I have made here. I am a little put off by the pricing on most items. I guess it is due to the location. I think one issue might be that the items they have priced at a good bargain must walk away very quickly. The place is usually pretty busy when I drive by. The lady at the register was pretty friendly when I did make the one purchase. I will try again but as a thrift store it is a middle of the road type for me. I am used to walking out with an arm full of finds from the places in Foley and Pensacola, so it is hard for me to give it more than a few stars. If you’re going in expecting thrift store deals, brace yourself—you’ll think you accidentally wandered into a flea market or antique shop. Cute little glass bell, maybe 6 inches tall, marked as “crystal” (it wasn’t)… $20. A simple 2' x 3' mirror? $75. Lamps ranged from $50–$100. Even coffee cups were $5 each.

Nothing wrong with pricing higher if that’s the vibe, but calling it a thrift store sets up the wrong expectation. If it had been named something like Island Antiques or Island Treasures Secondhand, I would’ve walked in ready to pay a little extra. I came in island Thrift about 6 months with my lil girl..we bought a few things..And when I went to pay the card reader didn't work.
