What a pleasant surprise! From the outside this looks a bit sketch, but inside it’s just fine. There are only a few tables if you want to dine in, and if you do that you’ll still be eating with flimsy plastic utensils and plastic to-go plates/containers. If that doesn’t bother you, you’ll at least get good quality Chinese food with large portions and reasonable prices. I tried the Hunan Triple, which the lady at the counter said was “medium-spicy”. Tender cuts of pork, chunks of chicken breast and some surprisingly decent-sized shrimp were served with a mix of vegetables including mushrooms, baby corn, carrot, onion, green bell pepper, water chestnuts and celery. The Hunan brown sauce was only mildly spiced, but it was a good medium consistency and not overly sweet or sour. It was really good but I’d love it to be more spicy. Then again, I say that for every Chinese restaurant in this part of the country. My dining partner got the Sweet & Sour Chicken and it was perfectly decent. Very few inedible bits in the chicken, and the sauce was thick and definitely more sweet than sour, with no real citrus zing like some restaurants feature. While I had steamed white rice, she got the fried rice and said it was pretty good. The vegetables mixed in were only lightly fried so the onions still had some crunch to them. There didn’t seem to be much if any egg in it. We also tried a few eggrolls. Just like the Sweet & Sour Chicken, this was a very middle-of-the-road, nothing fancy/nothing weird item. Just $1.30 each, so a pretty decent deal, too. Drinks are Pepsi brands from a fountain, and Red Diamond sweet tea which was really good and strong. Handy tip: If you want something more spicy, skip the awful bland “hot mustard” in the packets and ask for the homemade stuff from the kitchen. It has quite the kick! I think I turned several shades of red after taking a big bite of it. A little bit definitely goes a long way, and the overall flavor (once the heat subsides) is quite nice, too.

This is an amazing Chinese food location. I’ve eaten here many times. They are your perfect takeout option for the area. I have to say I tried dining in the last time and while the food was good, it was almost too hot, so I ended up saving a majority for later, I’ll stick to takeout from now on. The only other negative was silverware was very thin so it made getting the chicken on challenging, however, If eating at home doesn’t matter. The food is absolutely perfect. The taste and flavor is great. They serve enough for two portions in my opinion. They have amazing egg drop soup also. I would definitely try them out if your looking for a solid Chinese takeout!

The quality of food from this place is way better than the buffet in the nearby area. Food taste fresh and great! This will be our go to whenever we are in the area. We had the chicken broccoli garlic sauce and shrimp broccoli garlic sauce. We went during lunch time on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was quite busy but they handled it real efficient. We didn’t have to wait long for our food. We highly recommend this place. The cashier and cook are very friendly! Go and check them out, it’s worth it!

I went in and the place seemed relatively clean but when the hostess went from mopping the floor to touching my food, red flags went up. I ordered a pupu platter. $12, good deal right? Wrong. You couldn’t pay me $100 to eat what they gave me. First, the oil they fry in was old and gross. The 2 egg rolls were the cheapest kind you’d find at the dollar store. Tiny and totally empty and over cooked. Literally nothing but a bean curd or two in each one. The gave me 5 ounces of sweet & sour sauce, I didn’t use it. The next thing was the crab rangoon in a separate bag, not sure why. Those were overcooked as well and filled with a strange white watery substance. Also nasty. The fried wontons were also seemingly empty or maybe the inside was so over cooked that the contents disintegrated? The chicken wings also dreadfully over cooked and tiny and like everything else, flavorless. Also of prison quality. The there were half a dozen of the smallest fried shrimp I’ve ever seen and take off the thick batter and all 6 wasn’t ever 1/4 a mouthful. Horrible. Then the pile of this food in the to go box was topped with 2 spare ribs smothered in old terrible bbq sauce probably from a 50 gallon drum. This bbq sauce was all over all the other food. If anything should’ve been served in a separate bag, it should’ve been the spare ribs they were the worst spareribs I’ve ever had no lie. There was actually no meat on them at all. Totally ridiculous disgusting food, waste of money if you want a real Poopoo platter in the area go next to Piggly Wiggly in Foley that’s the real deal. Sorry to have to write a bad review I usually don’t but hopefully they’ll see this in change making future patrons happy instead...

I recently had the pleasure of ordering delivery from China King, and I have to say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.

First off, the delivery was prompt and everything arrived hot and fresh, which is always a huge plus when ordering takeout. The packaging was secure, and it kept everything intact, which shows the care they put into their service.

As for the food itself, wow! The flavors were outstanding. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The portion sizes were generous too — I definitely got more than my money’s worth.

I also tried the fried rice, and it was absolutely delicious. It had just the right amount of seasoning, with a good mix of vegetables and perfectly cooked rice. The egg rolls were crispy and not overly greasy, and the sweet and sour sauce that came with them was the perfect dip.

What impressed me most was the consistency. So many places can falter on delivery, but China King delivered top-notch quality and taste. The flavors were so fresh, and you could tell they used high-quality ingredients, which really made the difference.

Overall, I can confidently say that China King Restaurant is one of the best in the area. If you're looking for great Chinese food in Orange Beach, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be...
