Michaels — Local services in Orange City

I appreciate shopping at this store due to their extensive selection of unique items, which becomes even more appealing when they’re on sale. However, I have recently discovered that their website and in store sales operate independently. Consequently, if an item is available at a discounted price online but not in store they will NOT honor the website sale. The only exception is if you possess a coupon. I find this policy rather inconvenient. One sale associate suggested purchasing the item online to take advantage of the sale then picking it up in store. However, when I attempted to do so, the system prevented me from placing the order, citing low stock levels despite the item being available in store. Extremely annoyed with this store. I shop here all the time and was waiting in line for the cashier to finish with her current customer when another customer completely by passed the “please wait here for the next available register” sign and stood behind the customer that was checking out. The cashier looked at me and then when she finished with her customer proceeded to ring up the lady that cut the whole line and didn’t even bother to educate her on the fact that there was a line AND didn’t even bother to apologize when I walked up to the register about attending to that customer before me even though I was patiently waiting to be rung up. All of the Team Associates are very professional and knowledgeable of where products can be found. They offer coupons to members and the public in the local newspaper. For the Cricut Community, Michaels did stop offering “Price Match” for all Cricut products. Bummer. Always do your research before making larger priced purchases if you are into saving money! There are tons of Apps that provide you with promo codes or coupons for Michael’s.
