Great Finds and Discounts at Ross Dress for Less in West Volusia Town Center.
One of the reasons I love shopping at Ross Dress for Less is the amazing discounts, ranging from 20 to 60 percent off department store prices. This location in Orange City, Florida, is no exception! Whether you’re looking for home decor, seasonal items, or even clothing, you’re sure to find something at a great price.
I recently visited and was impressed with the holiday decorations already on display, even before the holidays hit. There were lots of outdoor and indoor Halloween decorations, including fun costumes for dogs and people of all ages—from kids to adults. Some costumes are priced below $10, which is a steal! I also found festive Halloween party dishes, mugs, and other fun items to set the mood. The Christmas decor is also rolling in, so if you spot something you like, I’d recommend grabbing it early. I’ve learned from experience that waiting too long means the best items can be sold out closer to the holidays.
This Ross location is one of the more organized stores I’ve been to. It’s clean, and I appreciate that it’s wheelchair-friendly, including the accessible bathrooms. The dressing rooms are also kept clean, and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help you find what you’re looking for.
If you’re trying to avoid long lines, I’d recommend visiting later in the evening. The lines can get busy between 5 and 6 PM as people stop by after work, but I’ve found that they move pretty quickly. Also, a neat touch for Florida shoppers: they always seem to have umbrellas for sale near the front of the store in case you get caught in one of our many rainstorms!
Overall, this is a great Ross location with plenty of fun seasonal finds. I always leave satisfied and look forward to coming back for more...
Read moreThis is the second time I have had a lack of luster experience with the return process erroring inside a stores systemic process at Ross. Furthermore, the employee named Rebecca, administering the return, never acknowledged the system error and proceeded to admonish me loudly in front of other consumers about the tags not being attached to a pair of jeans. I purchased jeans recently and tried them on at home. I didn't like the pair, so I took them to Ross with the receipt and all the tags except the ross tag came off during the fitting. The associate rang the receipt and tag for the return, but the system rejected the numbers. The associate Rebecca accused me of assigning the wrong tag, but I brought her an exact replica of the same jeans with the same price tag. Luckily, I got a refund, but I was refused a refund on my card even though I bought the item only days ago. The associate added this was due to the tag removal. The real issue I had with the return was the systemic error in the system not recognizing the receipt and tag combination yet at the end all I could think was how awful Rebecca represented herself in a situation she may not have known the answer. Also, this is the second time the system has had this issue coding tags improperly, and maybe Rebecca is to blame? Just a thought, as she was very passionate about defending the issue that clearly...
Read moreI am only taking stars off for the reputation of the Orange City Ross location in lieu of keeping an employee on their payroll that displays no respect for others. She displays a lack of care and complete disregard for the customers and seems to think she is there to be the customer instead. Tonight she yelled at my son and also rudely interrupted my wife as my daughter and wife were discussing an important matter. Topping off the issue I overheard her loudly discussing my wife's reaction to her ignorance in a distasteful manner to another employee. My wife exclaimed that she did take calls for 8 hours and pay her respects to customers only to be treated disrespectful by an associate in return. A description of the employee is a female with red curly hair and glasses. I assume she believes she is in management but she has yet to learn anything on managing herself or others. Please help coaching...
