Today's my 42nd birthday and a total of 7 of us went for dinner at Fujiyama. We have been going here for years but that has all changed this evening. 1st the waitress was very rude greeting us at our table. 2nd once order placed it was all a rush from there forward. The cook came to our table and said a total of 5 words during the whole presentation (which my 8 year old normally enjoys) rushed and slammed food onto the grill. Started to place food on our plates but was very forceful in doing so. My wife leaned over to me and said relax he's having a bad day. Well made the steak, shrimp, rice, noodles, chicken, scalps, lobster and then finally the vegetables. Oh wait started to clean table and forgot about my squid. Sent it back to kitchen to have it cooked. I asked them to box it up because I wanted to eat it with my dinner. Well the waitress as soon as the chef walked away from table was handing out to go boxes. I was like holly crap why is everyone in a freaking rush! She walked away and took boxes with her. Well on the way out the door I stopped at hostess desk which I think the owner was standing at. I advised her that I have been coming here for years and the service was very bad this evening. She started to tell me that the tip was not included (which for party of 7 it was included in the check) this lady had no clue what the hell I was taking about. I advised her again that the service was horrible and she didn't bat an eye! Wel let me give u a message lady....learn English or put someone that can speak it at ur hostess counter. DONT RUSH PEOPLE EATING! I spent 240.00 for my party of 7 and felt like cattle because u and ur people are rushing rushing. We won't ever be back again and I use to tell people how great ur food and service was.....NO LONGER THE CASE! Kobe in Longwood here we come! It's a little of a drive but we will make it! Best of luck hope u don't continue to rush ur...
Read moreMy brother took us out for dinner on my birthday to celebrate mine and my sisters-in-law birthdays. He chose the restaurant and asked us if we wanted to come along. When we arrived, we were seated around a grill. It was raining when we arrived, and the hood was dripping water. The server came and took our orders. She came back with our drinks. A few minutes later she returned with the house salads and soup. The soup was fantastic. It was a beef broth with vegetables. The salad was not. It was chopped lettuce with a soupy 1000 island type dressing. The bottom of the bowl was filled with 1/2 of the watery dressing. Our chef came out with our meals ready to cook in front of us. He made a show with his cooking and sent a flame 5 feet high from the grill surface. Scared my grandson and you could feel the heat from the flame. When our food was ready, he threw it on our plates with his spatulas. I had the steak and chicken with noodles and vegetables. The steak was bland and lacked flavor. The chicken was also bland and tough, I left it on my plate. The noodles had no flavor. The vegetables had no flavor, and the broccoli was soggy and gross. The check came out shortly and my brother said he had the check. I told him we would cover ours, but he insisted. He said I could get the tip. I asked him what the bill was so I could tip appropriately. It was 120 but the bill was for 152.00. They had already included a generous tip on the bill. 30% tip was outrageous, but my brother let it slide. I have told more than 50 people about the 30% tip they added to their bill. I highly recommend steering clear of this restaurant. I appreciate the effort my brother made but everyone felt the meal was bland and flavorless. I will never return, and neither will anyone...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE AT 10PM!!! They didn't seat us in hibachi, we were told we needed to order our hibachi meal ASAP because they wouldn't be making it in about 5 minutes. RUSHING US THE ENTIRE TIME!! Another couple walked in and the server gave them an attitude, and THEY walked out because of it. Not only that, but they didn't... even... care!!! They started putting up the chairs, and huffing and puffing and speaking Vietnamese to hide what they were talking about. AND, they brought the wrong meal out to my friend, and when she turned it away, THE SERVER ROLLED HER EYES! Of course, she walked away and said something to her coworker in Vietnamese, came back and asked if she wanted another plate, AFTER THE FACT! they were rushing around READY TO LEAVE AT 10:15PM!! The best part is, I found what looked and TASTED like a finger nail (and I know this because I bite my nails, unfortunately) in my rice!! After all of this, I decided I needed to say something to the manager. When I approached the manager, she didn't seem concerned about ANYTHING I said about their service UNTIL I mentioned the finger nail. She rushed over to examine it, and then told me it was a fish bone... still, a FISH BONE IN MY RICE?!? fish bone, or fingernail? I'll let you decide... but I refused to eat my meal, and WE STILL ended up paying for our meal because the manager didn't even offer to comp it!!!! And when I said we'd never go back... they actually seemed HAPPY!! Worst service I've ever experienced and I'm not the type to complain but I couldn't sit back and let all of this happen around me without saying...
