Unreliable and awkward. I’ve tried multiple times to get them to use a lockbox to access my laundry, somehow the lockbox has defeated the wits of the delivery driver three out of four times. The manager of Pearl Laundry is the “pickup driver” and they do okay with washing and folding. I suspect they make more from the their wash nd fold service in the laundry mat, since the “pickup and delivery” service cost less than me dropping my laundry off…lockboxes might be winning in the battle of wits here, in the name of business.
Why pickup my laundry and make less than lying and saying he couldn’t find my laundry? Knowing most people using a delivery service need their laundry done and don’t have time… by not picking up, they want me to drop it off myself, which makes them more money…The math maths for that to be the case anyway.
The concept is convenient but it for me was just an idea…instead of saving me time I ended up either washing my own laundry or rescheduling multiple times and still needing to do laundry by the time HappyNest maybe picks up the growing dirty pile…
With now a 75% chance they decide NOT TO PICKUP… Laundry roulette isn’t my jam, nope for me. Lesson learned 🤷‍♂️
Also - leaving my laundry outside for hours while I’m at work because they don’t want to either lose marginal amounts of cents or even worse can’t figure out a four digit lockbox…is super concerning. I trust my neighbors and all… but two big bags of clothes sitting outside in Oceanside…all day? Let’s hope I beat the homeless to it,...
Read moreWhile I love the idea of this service…it doesn’t quite match the reality…I would say instructions are followed about 50% of the time at best. Despite several attempts to contact the company and even following the recommendation to provide written instructions to send with my laundry. I end up having to refold about half of it prior to putting away. Dresses are continuously folded, regardless of how many attempts I make to ask for them to be hung and even provide hangers (which get returned empty.) To make matters worse…items are often not returned at all…particularly bath towels and bedding items. This happens so frequently, that I can not order a replacement for the missing item fast enough to arrive before the same item goes missing again. Again, the idea of this service is really nice… but sadly, the reality is such that I would not recommend it. I will say however, they have been very generous in compensating me for lost/damaged items. I will continue to remain hopefully that quality control will improve and cross my fingeres that no more...
