Claflin Theater — Local services in Orangeburg

I am SO happy and impressed with the Claflin theater! The overall experience has been extremely pleasant every time I’ve attended. Staff has been wonderful and very kind. There are a few suggestions, however. First…repair the center blind! On a bright day, glare greatly reduces the picture quality. Reflecting lights from passing cars is distracting. It is a VERY NICE facility. Too new to allow such important disrepair. Fix it….should be some accountability to the contractor. Second….the call in line recording is from the first week in DECEMBER OF ‘24. Update weekly! Third….the website’s ticket payment system worked the first time I attended, but is not allowing purchase now. Fourth….can’t that website be jazzed up a little. I like this place a bunch, a great place to watch movies with friends and family, isn’t too packed and sound is amazing, it would have been a great 5 stars for me, the only problem is that they don’t screen enough movies, my family wants to watch animation movies, Basically kid movies, but they don’t screen movies like that enough only surrounding PG13 movies so young kids wouldn’t be recommended to come a bunch of times, I was looking forward for the new Dog Man movie to be screened to watch with family but they haven’t done it, other then the screening choices this place is awesome and great for a new...

BEWARE: Rude, inconsiderate, and unruly teenagers might ruin your movie watching experience. Took my family tonight for the first time - we’re SO excited to have a theater in Orangeburg and to not have to drive to Columbia. The theater is beautiful and the employees were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, if something isn’t done to manage these unsupervised teenagers, we’ll soon be driving to Columbia again.
