If I could give this place zero, or negative stars, I would. I have shopped at this Kroger for years, and this place has gone completely downhill. There is never enough staff to help you, and the place is always out of the things I'm looking for. The only people that seem to work here, are the young ones, who get paid the least, and are entirely overworked.
I work 12 hour days, and my drive is around 3 hours round trip, the last thing I need, is to have to wait in line for half an hour, so that I can check myself out. Meanwhile, my cold items are starting to melt or spoil. If you want me to drop my hard earned money at your store, hire some damn help.
And don't let me get started on your curbside pickup. I've tried that twice, and both times my order was more than an hour late. Nobody has time to wait that long, in this hectic, busy world. And all of the random substitutions, when I clearly marked, "no substitutions", on my order. If I wanted to buy a mystery bag, I would have ordered it.
Every person in management, including all the way up to the top of this company, needs to be fired. Especially with an anti-trust suit filed by the government, for price gouging against you. I'm done with this place, and will deal with the hell of traffic on 24, to go to the Meijer in Lake Orion. At least they have people to help you, and have most things in stock when you go there. And maybe I'll take a pony ride on my way out, just for old times sake.
BARNEY KROGER WOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO SEE HIS NAME ON THE FRONT OF...
Read moreIf you're on your way home from work and and don't mind average quality, grumpy stock persons, and occasionally being overcharged on sale items, stop in to see their new layout. If you have a bit more time, you'll find lower prices, better quality, and happier employees at the Meijer in Auburn Hills. Recently remodeled, this Kroger is trying to get to the level of some of the other Krogers in the area. Produce is just ok in quality but there is a pretty decent selection. I've never purchased meat or fresh fish from behind the counter but there is usually someone buying something when I visit. A sushi preparation area is located as soon as you enter the store in the bakery section. It has fresh sushi prepared on site and is a favorite of some of the locals, but I tend to purchase the generic trays at Costco for much less. Aisles were lengthened in their remodel to allow for a larger variety of foods, but it makes getting in and out for just a few items a lot more difficult. Aisles have product neatly organized but they run from the front of the store to the rear without any breaks. A dairy cooler is located on an end-cap at the front of the store for those just getting milk. Although they've remodeled, many of the same grumpy employees are still around. Don't plan on any small talk or questions about items and don't even think about questioning sale items that ring up incorrectly. On several visits, I was over charged, but trying to talk to someone at the service desk wasn't worth...
Read moreIt’s a small store in comparison so I like to shop there so I can get in and out. Today I was looking for something and could not find it. I went to Customer Service and the gentleman told me the item I needed was in aisle 6. I could not find it. I went back to CS and he was gone. The young man assisting the Self Checkout was standing there with one customer checking herself out. I asked him if he could help me find the item. He tried to find someone else to help me. He walked down aisle 6 and said, no one wants to help and next thing I know he disappeared. I heard over the intercom, Customer needs assistance in aisle 6. No one EVER came. I went through the self check out with the two things I was able to find but without the third thing and told the young man, no one came over. He did, sorry about that, have a good day! I could not believe it. Small stores close everyday. I would think they would go above and beyond just for job security. Next time, I won’t time, I’ll go to Walmart. It will take me out of my way about a mile, but I’m sure they have better inventory and less snarky comments. Very...
