My wife and I went to the Bread & Yolk on a Sunday morning and let me tell you there was a line to be seated at 8:00am, so plan accordingly. The ambiance was rather delightful, a big city feel like Chicago or New Yorkish… The outdoor and indoor seating were adequately spaced but full, so we decided to sit at the bar area which was very amusing…It was amazing to watch all their employees synchronize in harmony, and there were quite a few, I counted 10 servers in front of me, and the back of house I could see at least seven heads cooking everything up. Our service was very professional and we mentioned it was our first time there so our server welcomed us and gave us recommendations of popular menu items which we decided to try. My wife tried the combination of eggs meat with biscuit and gravy and I tried the combination with eggs meat and cinnamon swirl French toast. The portions were plentiful, so if your hungry still plan on taking something home. I will be honest and truthful…hands-down the French toast was the best I’ve ever had! Thickly cut and super flavorful. We both paired our breakfast with bacon, which had more of a game taste rather than a Applewood or Hickory flavor… The biscuits were large, soft, moist and fresh but I would prefer a homemade or signature gravy rather than a commercial gravy.. overall I would give it a 4.5 for our first experience, we definitely will go back primarily because of the ambience and to try the lunch menu.. they did mention they serve lunch all day so if you’re not into breakfast at 8 AM you can order lunch. I will keep you updated when that happens..thank you and enjoy the rest of your day! thanks for...

The bridal shower we hosted at The Bread & Yolk today was truly a culinary delight, thanks to the exceptional talents of the team behind the scenes. As the guests arrived, they were immediately greeted by the mouthwatering aromas wafting from the kitchen, hinting at the delectable delights to come. Our carefully curated, limited menu featured a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, each dish a testament to the culinary genius of the chef. The delicate Italian Wedding soup, for instance, tantalized the palate with its burst of fresh, vibrant flavors - the rich, savory broth perfectly complemented by the delicate aromatic herbs. And the beautifully presented salads and wraps married unexpected ingredients into perfect harmony, each bite a symphony of complementary flavors and textures.

The service provided by Lauren and Kelly was equally impressive, with the attentive and gracious service ensuring that every need was met with seamless efficiency. They anticipated our guests' desires before they were even voiced, swiftly refilling drinks, clearing plates, and facilitating the smooth flow of the event with a level of professionalism that elevated the entire experience. It was clear that the team had put in meticulously planning and execution to deliver a flawless culinary performance that left a lasting impression on all in attendance. Our guests were left in awe of the culinary mastery and attentive service that had been on display, and the bride-to-be was positively glowing with delight at the exceptional celebration we had been...

Went in this morning and notice 3 of the servers had their mask down around their chins. I ask my server why she was wearing her mask down on her chin. She said "Maybe I forgot!" pulled it up and walked over to the two other ladies and said something to them. As she turned away from them she said"I told her that maybe I just forgot!" Looked at me and pulled her mask back down on her chin. Pulled it up when she took my order and when she came back to the table but pulled it right back down as she walked away. I was going to not leave a tip and just write "I just forgot" on the ticket but decided to give her half a normal tip. I have called to speak to the manager 5 times now over 2 days and am told every time he is not there, just left, etc. I even called this morning before they opened the doors to customers and was told the same. Either these girls (that is how they act) don't want me talking to him or he doesn't want to deal with any complaints. I had an omelette and I can have that any place so it wasn't like I had anything special. It would not have been a problem if she said "I forgot" and pulled it up but to try to get support from her co workers by mocking me is when I had an issue. Before COVID it was a really nice place to...

Excited to start a new series featuring brunch in the metro Detroit area. You can look forward to new recs each Sunday, though we’re starting on a Tuesday 😂 I hope this inspires you to get out and explore! This week’s brunch spot is The Bread & Yolk in Lake Orion.
