Carrie Lee’s of Orion — Restaurant in Orion Charter Township

Been going here for months. Can’t believe the way I was treated by the staff/owner/I’m not even sure because first when I called to complain she said she just worked there as a normal staff person when I asked for the manager/owner then later said she lied to me and she was the owner. I order the same thing every time, vegetarian noodle dish, says $8.95 on the menu. I get it every time. The last few times I noticed that I kept getting charged $10.87. The most recent time I said something and they farted around, told me the menus wrong and then admitted they made a mistake....at this point, who knows how many times I overpaid because I usually don’t notice and just pay. This time I was very upset because not only did I overpay and had to tell them to do something to make it right, I just asked them to throw in an eggroll but when I got my carry out and arrived home, the eggroll was disgusting, old and cold, and then I basically had a box full of all noodles with maybe a pinch of some vegetables. This prompted me to call and complain because not only did they try and rip me off but then, they short me on vegetables and give me a cold disgusting egg roll. When I called, I didn’t even mention the egg roll, I just said there’s no vegetables in my vegetarian noodle dish. The supposed manager/owner/liar/who even knows... said “people like the noodles and not the vegetables,” which makes no sense. If I just wanted a giant slab of noodles, I’d go to the grocery store and buy them myself for 99cents. After arguing on the phone about vegetables for 15 minutes they simply told me never come back. Liars/scammers/cheap skimpy con artists. No regard for customer...

I seriously have no clue why anyone is rating this place as poor. I have been going to Carrie Lees for over 20 years. I live in another county and literally drive over an hour for this restaurant.

There’s one thing I can say with all honesty—the food quality and quantity has not changed in over 20 years.

Our household favorites are: egg rolls, general tso, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken kow pad. The chicken is delicious and never gives me a stomach ache like other places. The chicken is clearly white meat, not some weird brownish white meat. The pieces I received in my sweet and sour quart were huge the last time I received them. Everything is always spiced on the lower side (which I absolutely prefer). There have been times when I’ve requested hotter and they always make it correctly.

I’ve never had a wrong order or a bad order from here. I like the fact I can choose between a pint, quart, or dinner.

The general tso’s is literally better than any other Chinese place. It’s a little more sugary than other places, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I am afraid to try Thai food (the kow pad is Thai) from any other place because nothing can compare to CL kow pad!!

I literally cannot say enough good things! I’ve always loved the people who work there and have always been treated with respect and kindness!!

The most unprofessional staff ever! Big time scammers, they overcharged me 2 nights ago so i went in again the next day with my buddy and they did the same thing to both of us! When we confronted them about it they got all upset and very rude. Tried to say the menu was wrong. Makes me believe that all the staff are in on the scam and that they try and do that to everyone that comes in. You do the math , overcharge every customer 2 bucks everyday , that's a lot of money in the pockets of the staff. Spoke to manager and she was very unapologetic, she did nothing to make it better. I asked who the owner was they said they were not here. Then i said well i will be back to speak to the owner and she then proceeded to say she was lying and that she was the owner and to never come back, mind you we live right around the corner and have been going there multiple times a week for months now. Is that how they treat there return customers?!?! Very very poor customer service and the food is very skimpy and cheap. Stay away from these unprofessional scammers!! Absolute garbage! I will suggest going to ALEX CHINESE a mile down the road I had a way better...
