So yesterday Friday 13th, my 5 year old daughter and I went to go shopping. I had on her school backpack cause she was just getting out from school and we typically come in the store after school let's out. They are familiar with my family and I. So as we were walking into the bravos, I felt a sharp pierce as if a someone was looking my way. I looked over and seen the security guy, black and bald, looking at my daughter and I with his hands on his baton weapon. It was uncomfortable. And grab my daughter's hand proceeded to go shopping. As we are approaching the isles and looking at the items, my daughter went to go grab her favorite item, literally the next isle over. As I was walking on the isle she was at, I noticed the security guy was standing in that same isle but on the far end with that same look. At this point, I was ready to got. I told her let's go. We went to the check out and I noticed he went back by the door. As I was checking out and the cashier was ringing up out stuff, I took off the backpack and opened it to put my groceries in it. Teh cashier even handed me some of my items and help put it in the backpack for me. As we were doing this, I noticed the security guy was coming towards us. He approached me and looked at me and my daughter then looked at the backpack. I asked if was there a problem. He said next time just leave your backpack. I was shocked and just appalled to be honest. I told him I have no reason to steal anything. I pay for my things. And he walked away and I proceeded out the door and left. I was saying to myself, why didn't he just tell me that soon as I walked into the store instead of being creepy and following my 5 year old daughter throughout the store, then trying to humiliate my integrity soon as we buy out things. Since the store opened, my family and I come in there all the time. We never ran into any situations, especially as such with the other security guys. This guy seemed to have other motives too. I don't think I...
Read moreBrand new location! Very well organized, clean, sanitized, employees and management are professional and kind.
Hopefully, all those great attributes will remain as time passes by. Time has a funny way to show the reality of it all.
Everything is nice and perfect when new. The trick is to keep it that way no matter the challenges.
The team seems well organized and on the ball. I asked a few questions to a couple of employees (couldn't help it! Is the Psychologist in me :p) to see how well they would handle a request and how efficiently. Both of the employees I spoke with and the manager on duty did flawlessly.
The only thing I noticed is the lack of some fruits such as Panapen (breadfruit) and a couple of others carried by other Bravo supermarkets, but they just open their doors to the public and these type of foods are not easy to obtain.
I really wish they would sell "water apples," also known as "Puma Rosa" fruit. I have searched everywhere for them, and no store has them. If Bravo finds a way to distribute that fruit here in Orlando, they would make a fortune! Considering how rare this fruit is. Other than that, the place is a hit!
I wish them success and pray they are blessed as they continue growing and supplying the food we all grow up eating back in my country, as well as providing a chance for other cultures to try new things at their homes.
If you are looking to bring your family together at the dinner table, try a new recipe. Step outside of your comfort zone and cook something different. Something new...
This is why I like places like these. They offer the opportunity for us to try new things or enjoy them when away from home. And if the dish doesn't come out as planned, laugh out with them. Nothing tastes...
Read moreI was excited when they opened, as a native New Yorker I couldn’t wait to try their hot Dominican food. I came in on yesterday Saturday afternoon, I got a plate for myself and my 3 year old. As I’m in the line I see the woman with glasses and a bun pouring the container of older beans into the fresh beans that were placed there. When I got up to place my order I asked for 2 plates one with black rice and the other with yellow rice(with little green beans in it) I asked the lady for beans on the side as well but not the ones she just mixed. She said that’s the only beans they had today, the brown beans. I said okay. Not thinking I would regret it. Fast forward, I’m home gave some rice and beans to my son and I ate some as well from the other plate. Not even 15 minutes after eating I was on the toilet with Extreme Diarrhea and stomach pain. Immediately I was scared for my 3 year old because I didn’t see him complaining about any symptoms. About 3 hours later My son had a Temperature of 101.9, he was crying, vomiting, and lethargic. I’m sure they did not intend to cross contaminate their food, but I would not recommend their hot food to anyone and I would not return. They’re customer service is also pretty bad and if you do not speak Spanish, they pay...
