At the beginning of January I relocated here from the DMV area. I left majority of my furniture there because I thought it would be cost effective to purchase furniture here in Florida. I shopped around at various furniture stores and finally settled on a nice living room group from rooms to go. In addition to the furniture I purchase the protection plan that was to cover against spills. The furniture was delivered uncovered after being transported in a dirty moving truck. Needless to say a few pieces were a mess. I contacted customer service and they quickly exchange the pieces. Fast forward I held a holiday event at my home and one of my guest spilled a unknown substance on my sofa. I called a professional cleaner and him was unable to remove the substance. I remember the protection purchased earlier in the year and contacted Room To Go believing they would be able to resolve this easily. A month later needless to say their attempted at resolution was to send a technician out to take pictures and call me a week later explaining they were going to pick the unit (sofa) up and return it eight days later after exchanging one side for a new side. I questioned how weāre they going to exchange one portion of the sofa with a new portion without there being a noticeable difference between the old and the new, and there not be a noticeable difference between the two. The CSR explained that was what they were willing to do take it or leave it. I explained that was not the explanation or expectation set for after purchasing this protection. The CSR again affirmed the before mentioned. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold. The CSR returned to the line explaining the supervisor confirmed what she had previously stated and what was I going to do. I explained I asked to speak to a supervisor and I still would like to. The CSR placed me on hold again and after 5-7 minutes returned at 4:54 pm explained that the supervisor had left for the day because the service center was closing at 5:00 pm. I was flabbergasted after spending 45 minutes on the phone attempting to resolve a simple issue to end with this outcome. I purchase furniture annually because I am often impressed with the new styles and selections that various manufacturers produce. However, I will never recommend or purchase ANYTHING from Rooms To Go, and will continue to share this experience, unprofessional behavior, refusal to honor the terms of repair or replace portion of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDid a mattress re-selection, the financing promo at the time was 5 years no interest, which we discussed from the very beginning. Everything was fine until we went to complete the order, we were told the system wouldnāt allow them to put in the 5 years only the 36 months because of the re-select.They assured us that it was simple as sending an email to get the offer changed, I waited a week to call the bank to determine if the offer was changed. To my surprise it wasnāt done, an email wasnāt never sent to the bank. I called rooms to go and they apparently said we didnāt qualify, we did qualify but their associates were lacking information. We were supposed to pay the taxes down in order to qualify for the offer, none of this was explained to us. No one from rooms to go thought that it would have been necessary to contact the customer and inform them of the issues that came about. I then spoke to a manager Alex who explained the issue, and that he would resolve it. He was so eager to rush me off of the phone, spoke over me multiple times, and lacked apology. He also felt the need to tell me that most people donāt want to finance the amount for a long time, which was extremely irrelevant. All of this goes to say the customer service is extremely lacking. Thereās also no sense of accountability. My initial purchase was made on 07/03, fast forward a month later I call the bank to find out the promo offer and now there is no promo offer and i have to pay interest. Rooms to go resquested them to take off the promo offers, i called and spoke to Alex again he said they will re sumbit the paperwork,no one once again ever reached out to us to confirm anything was done which they said they would be the end of the week. Today I decided to call back the bank and find out the promo offer and they STILL submitted it for 36 months when it should have been 5 yrs. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND GO TO ROOMS TO GO, their customer service is awful if we had a choice we wouldn't shop with them. The worst management as well. I had to settle because they all lied and their lack knowledge of their promos! One star is too much of a rating for such an awful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I had a pleasant time purchasing the furniture. Unfortunately, When the delivery man showed up he asked me to show him where the bedroom set was going. I showed him on the second floor in the master bedroom and while weāre walking back downstairs, he said that he cannot build my bed because he doesnāt have a side rails. I told him thank you for letting me know and he can also keep the furniture on the truck because I want to refuse the delivery. He went ahead and told me that I can take it because the side rails were on another truck and that they were bringing it today. After asking him, what truck was it on and when it was gonna be delivered, he called his boss and informed his boss that I wanted to know when and where was the remainder of the furniture. His boss could not answer the question so I continue to refuse the furniture. After my second refusal, in Spanish, he told his boss that I was Indian and his bosses response was it is because he is Indian that he does not want the furniture Not knowing that I speak Spanish. After hearing that, I then asked him in Spanish what does me being Indian have anything to do with him not having my complete furniture delivery and me not wanting the furniture. The delivery man looked at me as if he saw a ghost. His response to me was I did not say that and my response to him was you do know that I speak Spanish because Iām talking to you right now in Spanish. A few moments later, my wife arrived home and since she is Puerto Rican, she does speak Spanish and she asked him, Why did you make that comment about my husband? His response was Iām sorry if he misunderstood what I said, but I was saying that I am Indian as if he was referring to himself. After this ordeal, I went back to the Rooms To Go store that I bought my furniture and I explained to them the whole ordeal and although I did receive an apology, I really did not appreciate being treated the way I did and discriminated the way I did just because someone on their side messed up my delivery. I thought about not putting this post, but I wanted to ensure that no one else would ever have to deal with what...
