#Update# You replied to my message but there is no way to reply back. Of course your team would say something different. Again, we were STILL in our car when we approached, our intent was never to STAY parked like that. Your team member initially approached us in a rude manner and even though WE DID NOT reply in the same manner as she approached us. When we straightened up the car and entered the establishment the FIRST words out of her mouth were as I described. I am guessing that you are implying that we should have continued to take verbal assaults from your staff? If so, that is NOT how you should run a business. I have been an attorney for almost 20 years, what reason would I have to make up stories about this situation? I am thankful that we were still able to celebrate our anniversary at an establishment that was definitely more welcoming. Your staff needs a lesson on etiquette. Even if someone is parked incorrectly there is an appropriate way to address the situation. And once the situation is addressed, you don't continue to taunt them as they enter the establishment. You don't start off by yelling at people, especially out of state guests who are in a practically EMPTY parking lot sitting in their car looking for directions!!
Horrible! This establishment is CLEARLY racist! My husband and I are from out of state. We wasn't sure of the location, so we pulled into a parking lot to get our bearings...while we are sitting there looking at the gps...a woman comes over yo the car and rudely tells my husband to move because he is over the line. My husband says, "ok." We sit there to figure out where we are going and we notice that the facility is across the street from the parking lot. My husband straigtens the car and we approach the building. When we get to the door, the woman who rudely told my husband to move opens the door and says, "we meet again, the black people that doesn't know how to park." I said, "so you don't like black people..." And she replies, "I do like BLACK people," then she tells us to leave even though we paid our deposit for the reservation.
I will definitely report then to the Better Business Bureau as well as contact the news outlet that features them to let them know about...
Read moreThis was an overall phenomenal experience. Between the service and the atmosphere, The Bandbox sold me. I first was curious discovering that this was an non-alcoholic bar speakeasy theme. Making the reservations, two separate two top tables for the maximum occupancy as of the time of this review, did cause for limited availability, but I will tell you, it is worth the time. You have to absolutely enjoy the theater and the photography alcove, with homage to a few yesteryear attractions. The attention to details, from the floor to the ceiling, immaculate. The popcorn machine that, not only functional, but suits the Bandbox to the T. Now the drinks. I do appreciate the crafted drinks specialized here, I had sipped on the Tropical Paradise, for those that want to appreciate the taste of margaritas with the rim salt of the Sriracha( of course minus the alcohol) and enjoy the full flavors. Second was the High Hat, full and smokey flavor, expected from a darker drink bold but IMHO, a bit strong for an old fashioned but definitely stands out. Lastly Baby it's Cold outside. For the Gin lovers out there, this one is for you. Complimented by cocoa and creme, it truly is like Christmas morning, the dryness does bring the flavors of the other drinks to the table and finishes smoothly. Now for the tastings, I really did appreciate the server and bartender being so hospitable in their offerings and the personalization we had. Getting to taste test the Ritual Tequila, Rumish, and Livener. This not only sold me on coming back in the future for tasting future drinks, but also the purchase of the Ritual Tequila.I can say that Kevin and the entire staff has outdone themselves. Between the thematic drinks, decor, merchandise, selection of bottles to purchase, The Bandbox is a must for those that want to have a night out, to enjoy a drink with a significant other, that takes things back to the speakeasy. Will be...
Read moreThis is a unique and cozy speakeasy experience. This is a fantastic idea if you don't feel like drinking, or are pregnant, or have a friend that doesn't drink but you want to experience something like this together.
You are transported into a 20s speakeasy in a small room with a little photobooth (FREE!) in the back. Almost everything in the room is for sale, so it's fun to look at all the novelty items around.
Do not get there early - the door is locked until your reservation time on the DOT. This is because the room is tiny, and only allows for really small parties at a time for an hour window.
Overall, we had a good time. No, the drinks don't taste spot on - but they are GOOD. I might have had a sugar hangover the next day, but it's better than a liquor hangover! The wine was the best - it tasted closest to the real thing! This is because of the way it is made, their book tells you...
