Absolutely the worst experience in my entire life! I want to start by saying I NEVER EVER EVER write bad reviews. I never return food. I never complain about little knicks or defects in things- EVER, but this HAS to be written about to prevent this from happening to someone else!
A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, 12 months after purchasing a couch from them, all three of the motors on the recliners stopped working and one of the leather chairs out of the five started peeling. We called the leather insurance company we purchased through WFM for $300 to come out and assess the damages to fix. We were then told leather is not covered (even though the warranty states in one spot it is covered, and in another states it isn't covered- SKETCHY!). They were going to fix the recliner pieces though, but 2 months later we never heard on when they were going to come back to install the new motors. Fast forward to now- it has been 14 months of a broken $3500 leather sectional regular price $4200 from Macys, and 100 phone calls and emails later only to be told today "Sorry, nothing we can do". They refuse to honor their warranty. They refuse to fix the broken cough. They claim we bought a used piece (which if we purchased the "warehouse" model it would have only cost us $500 to buy the couch in that shape-yes they did sell my couch for $100 a piece for the roughed up ones) but instead we paid $3500 for a brand new from Macys couch that was MAYBE a floor model or a model denied by the original recipient. At the end of the day, we got ripped off and will be taking this matter to small claims court.
I have emails and phone records showing the ridiculousness of this matter. Sadly, the owner is the mother of a friend of mine and after giving her 14 months to simply fix the broken pieces I am over waiting! This is absolutely insane. I will never, ever, ever purchase from a company like this again. I truly thought I was helping a small business out and of course saving 20% myself but forget that- Pay full price people, it's not worth having spent $3500 for a couch that doesn't recline and one of the 5 pieces is completely peeling and quite frankly embarrassing. I am horrified that people can behave this way and treat another family like this. It just isn't necessary. I will update the post after I get back from small claims court and will also add emails, and photos to show (1) What I purchased the couch for (2) That I purchased the warranty (3) That I called and had the warranty company come out to assess and/fix the damages (4) the WFM refused to fix the damages (5) the year and a half worth of emails, phone calls, etc and (6) The newest updates with small claims court.
PS, this business is only open in Ormond Beach now so be careful. They shops keep closing down and relocating.
I'm Sorry Grace but we tried really hard to be patient hoping you guys would do the right thing. We were willing to accept that replacement couch, and your other staff member offered to fix the giant scratch (which would cost what, $20 to have your handyman fix?) but you told your staff to tell us today on the phone "THEY WILL TAKE IT AS IS OR NOT AT ALL!". Had we purchased a scratch and dent model, I would totally understand, but we didn't. I wish you would rethink how you treat people because you have the opportunity to make great money if you are just more reasonable with your customers. A $20 fix of a scratch and you could have had a 5 star review on here, Yelp, Facebook and everywhere else, even after 14 months of misery, but refusing something so simple when we spent so much money is just plain outrageous. I wish you the best with you business...
Read moreI recently visited Wholesale Furniture Outlet in Ormond Beach with my elderly mother to purchase a recliner lift chair for her. Our experience was positive, and I would recommend the Wholesale Furniture Outlet to others.
Kristin was our sales representative. She greeted us as soon as we came in and made sure we got the help we needed on the floor to find and test the chairs. Walker, the individual who helped us, was very helpful and patient. As soon as Kristin freed up, she sat with us and answered all of our questions. They did not have the color we wanted on the floor, so she had Walker quickly unload three more chairs that were on the truck to give us other options. We paid the delivery and service fee. Delivery was scheduled for a few days later, and the chair arrived promptly within the designated window. The two delivery professionals were outstanding. They were courteous, quick and made sure the chair was fully tested before they left.
After a short period, we experienced a mechanical glitch with the first chair we took home. As soon as I contacted Kristin, she immediately opened a work order and followed up the next morning to ensure that a remedy was put in place. At one point, Kristin even called me on her day off to follow up on a separate issue that arose when the second chair was delivered (just some confusion related to the color choice of the new chair). Kristin, Walker and the delivery professionals displayed superior customer service behavior that you don’t see much any more. It was a pleasure dealing with...
Read moreI've bought from the wholesale furniture place in Deland several times over the course of a few years, including a dresser, two sofas, a standing lamp, and side tables. We've never had an issue and obviously became repeat customers. We recently moved and decided to check out the location in Ormond and man, was that a mistake. We went in and asked about a dresser that was listed as 50% off the original price of the Modani website, as most of their pieces are. The dresser had some damage and the soft close drawers did not work on one entire side of the dresser. We asked about it and they said they could do $600 on it. We offered $400, or tried to. The saleswoman, Kristin, cut me off and interrupted me every time I tried to speak. She told us she would not even bother calling her boss to ask and that if we wanted one without damage, we could drive down to the Modani showroom in Miami and pay full price. She pointed to an MDF/particle board dresser in a very different style and stated she could do that one at $499. We said that we could buy particle board at Ikea for much cheaper and left. We will not be frequenting this wholesale establishment. We were shocked at the rude and poor treatment. If you are looking to shop this business, I recommend making the drive to the...
