Coach Brenda Soto, along with her 2nd in command, Coach Vonnie, have built a huge and talented women's program, providing a safe space for women to train.

The adults Program, with Coach Manny, Coach Brenda, and so many others, is second to none, with a competition/wrestling class featuring Coach Augie Romero, that leaves you feeling exhausted and at the same time exhilarated at the training you've just gone through. Tiny warriors and kids classes teach respect and focus while keeping it fun and lighthearted.

The kickboxing program, led by Blackbelts Coach Cri-Santos and Coach Justin, has been growing quickly, and offers a fun and challenging experience.

I’m a purple belt and have trained for five years. I live in Vermont, but every time I visit my parents in Tucson I train here. I’ve explored some other gyms in the area, and though they are also great, there is something special about Daimyo. In particular, their mat space and high skill level are unique. It’s the most spacious gym I’ve ever been to. They can easily accommodate 50 people rolling on the mat at the same time. I remember being really impressed by their number of high level belts at open mat - I counted over ten black belts one time. I’ve honestly never seen this level of skill at any of the dozen plus other gyms I’ve explored. I’m very grateful to Manny and all the folks at Daimyo who are so welcoming when I visit.
