I walked in with a box of goodies for my daughter who lives in Virginia, and the first thing that came out of my mouth to the lovely man at the counter was I need a bigger box, lol. He quoted me the price for a larger box with shipping and packing materials and it was quite high. But he did also look me squarely in the face and say we can close this box and tape it crosswise and it'll be fine. And it was! Note to self: when you buy a set of Lands End king size flannel sheets and decide to wash them not once but twice for your daughter before sending them to her, the volume of said sheets increases and does not fit into the original box that they were sent. I also included Neutrogena Rainbath, and bottles of shampoo and conditioner, and Downy fabric softener sheets, because those really do make clothes smell like home which brings a lot of comfort when you are 2,000 plus miles away from your mom. Nonetheless, we have a very happy ending with my parcel costing about $43 to send from Tucson out to Virginia UPS ground, and because it weighed almost 14 lb š this is a great location with wonderful people working here, as it is the second time that I've come to this location because it's so close to where I live. I was also told that the employees no longer return Amazon things for customers unless there is an issue . Every time I have to use this kiosk, it is nothing but a headache. Paper is out or it's not scanning properly or these bags we need to place items in are gone or it's just being buggy . I understand it frees up employees when it's busy but when it's just a scan to return something , it always takes much longer for me to use this irritating kiosk and in the end still need to wait in line to ask for help with the kiosk than it would the employee that isn't doing anything . This ups was a wonderful addition and so close to me to return things until this kiosk was installed and now suddenly it's all up to the customer to do what ups used...
