I spent almost three hours preparing the clothes, laundering them, folding them properly, and took them into the store neatly placed in large tote bags and a laundry basket. They were returned to me stuffed back in the bags and crammed into the laundry basket. I was upset they "require" clothes to be brought in clean and neat, and they so blatantly disregarded their own rules when returning the clothing to the seller. I will have to redo all the clothes if I want to take them elsewhere or even to Goodwill. I have been in a couple of times and the staff is very young, in their teens or college age, and they appraise the clothing in accordance. I was pretty much told my clothes were old lady clothes. I took in professional shirts and jackets, and dozens of nice casual pants and shirts appropriate for the season. Much of it was casual. All rejected because they were for "older women." Do they really think no one older than 20 goes into their store to buy clothes? That women don't need professional clothes? And to top it off, upon entering the store, I had to stand at the counter waiting about five minutes for the two clerks to have a conversation between themselves (not work related) before either one of them acknowledged my presence. I inched closer and closer. I moved from one station to another. And they still continued their conversation. Not working, by the way, stopped what they were doing to talk, seeing a customer standing there, looking at me, and ignoring me standing at the counter. Finally, after I raised my eyebrows, one of the girls acknowledged me. I will never return to this store. Bad service....

I didn’t get names because I up and left but the blonde and short brunette girl working today (6pm) were nasty. I asked the blonde for a fitting room and she looked at me like I was panhandling her, like I was such a burden for having her do her job. I thought okay one bad apple doesn’t spoil the-I head to checkout and I get hit with the rudest attitude ever. It started with the short brunette giving me sass over entering my phone number ( it’s a new system I didn’t know to enter before or after ringing up ) and continued as I asked what should have been a yes or no question. So me and my aunt have asked for hangers before at Plato’s, since we’re buying clothes so often it’s nice to get a hanger too. We’ve never been denied. At this Plato’s I asked too, to which I got a smelly, heaping snide remark of “I don’t think so” straight out of the fiery gates of middle school lingo. It stunned me and I held back every fiber of my being not to say anything back. I left with a thank you and left for good. I won’t ever be coming back. Fast forward to my experience at Plato’s at Waterford and it was a world of a difference, 10 mins down the road from this hostile environment I had the misfortune of wandering in. Read moreI came in at 6:15 PM to drop off my clothes to be sold, and was told by the associate that it would take one hour max. I came back 45 minutes later to check approximately how much longer they think it would be, thinking they would probably say about 15 minutes longer. But when speaking to another associate I was told that it would now be at least another 45 minutes. When I asked why, I was told “uh… we are just running a little bit behind and… uh… I still have to finish the bag of clothes I’m working on now. And well…also still need to do the clothes of the person in front of you”. She even said that the person in front of me had been waiting for over two hours and she still hadn’t even touched her bags. I ended up telling them that I just wanted my bags back because I could tell that it wasn’t just going to be another 45 minutes, it was going to be much longer than that. I don’t understand why I wasn’t just told 2 hrs from the start! It was a complete waste of time and waste of a drive. I’ve been to this location numerous times and either have a horrible experience or wonderful experience, and unfortunately today the associates lack of time management and customer service shown through.
