I recently had a return at my local kohlâs. I was very displeased by the management there, they acted very condescending!! I returned a product then got home and could not find my return slip. After looking quite a bit, I called the store and so happened the assistant manager answered the phone. I explained the situation and described the person who was helping me as having blond hair that was put up. She said sarcastically, oh that could be anyone here. What time were you at the store we will look at the security camera to see who was working. I will call you back, I waited all that evening and half the next day and she never called. Finally I called her and she said oh the manager that waited on you said she definitely gave you a receipt. I thanked her and she said the credit could take 8 days to show up on my acct. both managers acted very snotty about the situation, didnât thank me for my business or anything. I said if the credit doesnât show youâll be aware of the situation, right, she said oh that hasnât happened in 13 years since Iâve been here. Never apologized for not calling me back! Just very very bad...

I called the number on her card (because I didn't have a statement) to inform the store of her death. Closed the acct and was told that I would be receiving papers regarding her acct in the mail. Did that happen?? NO! Instead, I get a call and the first thing out if the person's mouth is "This is an attempt to collect a debt from the deceased (my Mother's name)" and that the call is being recorded! Seriously.. WTF?! I was told (by the debt agency) that this is how Kohl's regularly handles deceased person Accts. So instead of sending me a final statement so I can settle her acct through probate (a kind and gentle way for a grieving family) I now have go through a debt collection agency. Very low class! Kohl's gets a big fat "F" in customer service. I will never purchase from Kohl's again. How they handle deceased person Accts needs to be seriously restructured. Mind you it was late night on the 20th looking for an item that Mr phones TOLD me that the store I shop at happen to have it in stock, I know these employed are wanting to leave but they cannot leave unless it's time to leave.
