Charlie’s Tobacco Outlet — Local services in Oxford

Really friendly staff. Not a big selection but they do have an assortment of tobacco and alcohol (not beer) and some snacks and sodas. Pricing is a little higher here for alcohol than the state liquor store (ABC) and they only have your basic assortment but that's the trade-off for convenience. Store is clean and organized with a friendly neighborhood feel. They even have a resident pup!

About a year or so later...UPDATE! Charlie's Tobacco Outlet has undergone renovations. They split the store: one one side (original front access doors) is for the liquor store. You can purchase smokes on this side and some non-alcoholic beverages but to get a better selection you must exit out of this side and enter through the other side and you must be 21 to enter the liquor store side. The other side is their newly featured convenience store for your non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, smokes and related paraphernalia. I'm not sure if you made your selections on one side then went to the other to finish your shopping if they would ring it all in one transaction and on which side. There's a good question to ask next time I'm there. All in all, the renovations went well and the place is looking great with new items to browse. Staffing is limited so be patient and check out the new digs and new inventory of unconventional items. Although you may have elevated prices on the alcohol due to the convenient location of this store and they are open later and on Sunday and most holidays when ABC is not, it's the best tobacco store in the area and their prices overall are very competitive or lower. They even have beer now! And coffee drinks and sodas and energy drinks.......candy......snacks....and cool...

On May 3, 2025 my Fiancé went in there for one thing only ONE THING!!! He was at the counter and the white lady that's short maybe 27 said she would be right back and that she has to take care of another person at the other counter and she would be right back. We'll she went over there and talked with him and checked his stuff out and talked a little bit more and then she proceeded to go outside while my fiancé was still inside waiting on her and she had a full blown conversation and had a full blown cigarette aswell with that person while he was inside alone WAITING FOR HER. He then has to go outside himself and get her attention and remind her that she left someone in there waiting for her. In the end it took 10 minutes for him to get one singluler pack of pre rolls. I can't believe an employee left a person in there by themselves for a long period of time and just completely forgot about them. WTH!

That visit there sucked yall need to make sure yall do yalls job before having a FULL BLOWN CONVERSATION...

I had an awful experience with Charlie's Tobacco Outlet through DoorDash. The price listed on the app didn’t match the in-store price, which is frustrating, but the owner’s response was outrageous. Instead of fixing their inventory pricing, they took the price difference out of the cashier’s paycheck! I’ve heard this happens with every DoorDash order discrepancy. This is unfair to employees and shows zero accountability. Fix your inventory and stop penalizing your staff for your errors! I won’t shop here again and urge others to steer clear. Shop at...
