Nice little quaint restaurant. Very nice people working there. We went for lunch. FOOD: Chips - good, Red Salsa - tastes like the can, Green Salsa - tasted as if it came from the jar. We ordered the Cóctel de Camarón - too sweet, tiny shrimp and very few, no authentic flavor. The Fajitas (Ordered the Dinner double portion) - the size was a joke. It was only enough for 1 person. I'd hate to see the lunch size portion. I initially ordered a chicken taco, chile relleno combo. I was brought a Stuffed Bell pepper. (Who in their freaking right mind thinks that's authentic Mexican?) The chicken taco was in a flour tortilla (duh, you put it in a flour tortilla it's now called a burrito). So they substitute the combo with Street Tacos (which are original authentic tacos, 🙄 du-uh), they tasted alright 🙄. The beans were tasty, as was the rice. The Guacamole Salad was just shredded lettuce with a teaspoon dollop of guacamole. I gave 2 stars because they were quick with the substitutes and kept their professionalism during this traumatic insult to Mexican food. Nothing authentic about the flavors. We left very disappointed. We won't be returning. Usually, hole in the wall restaurants have the best flavors, but Jalisco Taqueria and Grill, sorry, no bueno. No tienen sabor mexicano. Deberían trata de quedar con los platillos auténticos y no mezclarlos con...
Read moreLiterally the worst Mexican place I have ever been to in Alabama. The service was slow, their servers were nice but we were left unattended for long stretches of time. We arrived around 1pm and we left at almost 2pm our food had not arrived. The server apologized for the wait but with the place not being busy and the lack of checking up I was furious. We left the table to go up and pay for the drink and small cheese dip we got and it was 23 dollars for a small cheese dip, and ONE Margarita. WAYYY OVER PRICED. When the manager finally came out and was wondering why we were leaving we said we had been there almost an hour and just wanted to go elsewhere. I’ve worked in the industry before so I understand a busy place but when there are like 10 customers there is no reason to have the service so bad and the food takes too long. Never again. Dining out is a luxury at that moment and we will not be giving them anymore business. Please note my husband also sat and watched several employees just standing around before the desk just standing and talking while we sat for an hour trying to may salsa and cheese dip...
Read moreI got my usual, the quesabirria. It did not taste good today. I don't know if they changed the recipe but the soup was bland, there was hardly any cheese on the birrias and the meat tasted unseasoned. Again, this is my favorite from Jalisco's. Customer service was okay. The young lady appeared to be annoyed by me asking questions about two meals I paid for. On the website with door dash, the menu states that a side of rice comes with the quesabirria. She pulled out the menu to show me that it does not. I stopped her because I know their menu. I was just letting her know online that it is what the menu says ONLINE. I think I'm done spending my money there. Ill be going to an authentic spot...
