My dog looks a wreck! I was shocked when I picked up what was my beautiful golden doodle! He was shaved to his skin without being contacted first, he had bald spots everywhere where it was nothing but skin! I wasn’t upset about the fact that he was shaved I’m upset about the fact all of his nails are split and he is hurting when he walks, his ears weren’t cleaned, there were numerous bald spots from not being careful and not having enough experience, He had cuts in his paw pads and little cuts throughout his body. The groomer also basically denied all of this but i have pictures!!! When i picked him up he was very skiddish in the car which he never is! I really do wonder what went on for the 7 hours he was there, I was told he would be ready by noon it wasn’t until after 3 when they contacted me that he was ready. My dog loves being boarded and loves daycare at delta dog but this experience has broken our trust. We have spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars here and it’s a shame I’m having second thoughts about going back. When i expressed my concerns to the groomer she was also a little bit rude and the situation could’ve been handled better, i felt that she was blaming me for his horrible haircut, like i said shaving wasn’t the issue it was all of the other things listed above that really made me angry, i was crying before we even got back home. My poor dog really went through it being at delta dog. I’m am sorry for sending my dog here for a grooming. Golden doodles are hard to groom but if your groomer isn’t experienced enough with all types of dogs she needs to be fired! I know this won’t be the last grooming complaint you will receive if that groomer is still employed at delta dog. I will say the owner was very nice and refunded the groom and is paying to get his nails etc. fixed. I appreciate him and the way he does business and that is the only reason i would bring my pup back to daycare or board him at...

TLDR: very lovely people! But I don’t think they did a very good job brushing out my dog. I would recommend this place if you don’t have a dog with heavy shedding issues.

Long version: My dog got a bath, and I was little underwhelmed with the results. I primarily booked this bath so she could be professionally bathed and brushed to the help with her shedding issues. When I booked the appointment I asked if they had any specific de-shedding treatments(which I would have happily paid for). I was told they did not, but they made sure to brush out the dog well at every bath. Thus, I took my dog to a regular bath appointment with the hope of them getting out some old undercoat.

She smelled a lot better when I got her back, but it doesn’t seem like they did much brushing on her. I used to work as dog bather so I KNOW what my dog looks like when she is throughly blow dried and brushed out(aka using a curry comb on her for 5 minutes after a bath). I wish still able to pluck out tufts of old undercoat from most parts of her body after her appointment. For the record, my girl gets brushed at least twice a week with a curry brush and she gets furminated about once a week. She just has a LOT of hair(she’s a German shepherd mix). I’m not blaming the bather because I know brushing out takes time(and I know as a former bather that you often aren’t given the amount of time you need to perform services well), but I would have happily payed for extra brushing time if it was an option.

So overall, I will probably book another appointment with deltadog, but I will make sure to ask that they blow dry and brush her out thoroughly because my girl still has a ton of coat that needs...

My poodle, Gracie, had a bad experience at the last place I carried her to be groomed. The thought of her being mistreated broke my heart and made me nervous to try anyone else, but it got to the point she had to be groomed. I called Delta Dog and when the receptionist heard our story she immediately got me on the phone with Shay, the groomer. She explained their procedures and explained how their biggest thing was being completely transparent with the client and causing the pet the least amount of stress possible. They did not disappoint! Shay talked to me again when I brought Gracie in today and got to know Gracie before carrying her back. When I picked her up she was so happy and was literally trying to get out of my arms and go back to Shay. She looked awesome and I could tell she had been loved and well taken care of. My husband even commented when we got home about how happy she was and how different she acted compared to the time before. I am so relieved to have found Delta Dog! Everyone there was...
