Our party enjoyed, a Shrimp Chimichanga (HUGE)topped with queso, sides; rice & refried beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. Another person fell in love with their Pollo Verde (shredded chicken with the BEST green sauce) Enchiladas, served with rice. My plate was amazing Street Tacos (3)fish corn tortillas cooked to perfection, grilled steak, topped with fresh chopped onions, and cilantro. The salsa served with these has an amazing blend of spice and flavor (if you do not like spice (warm heat) taste before adding to your tacos), this plate also had blanco queso (white melted cheese) for dipping. As a previous restaurant manager, I easily would've been fired had I treated any customer the way we were treated this evening. The restaurant closes at 10. We arrived at 9:25 and were told we could not order any frozen drinks, and when we ordered a margarita, our server had a vile attitude. We then overheard employees discussing how they were "closing in 15 minutes", although the menu, website, and door all stated otherwise. We decided to not order any food due to this unwelcoming environment. This was our first visit, and after the way we were treated, we will not be back. This place is truly the best Mexican food in Oxford. It makes the others in town look like garbage. I have never had a bad experience here and you always get seating right away!

The cheese dip and salsa are so good! And their drinks (margaritas) are very good! Lots of choices in flavor and size too! If you are thinking of going to Casa or El Agave, please reconsider and go to La Perla instead! It’s so much better!
