O'Riley's has gone down the tubes. Parts cost just as much or MORE than the OEM. Customer service is just some fresh out of highschool kids who don't know anything that they can't see on the computer.
They recently fought with me to honor their warranties on both a battery and after 2 part failures and 3 installs the car is finally running and I can get my disabled son to his appointments.
They proceeded to tell me the original part I bought was a remanufactured one despite it not having ANY indication of it being a remanufactured. So then I had to pay on top of a $300 part I had already bought. (Not including the original cost of the battery)
When I was about to pay I mentioned to the counter jockey that he was losing a valued customer. And he said "go ahead we get hundreds a day and AutoZone is just down the street". I worked in customer service for 14 years and never would myself or anyone I worked with have said that to a customer who has literally been coming to their store their entire adult life.
But I'll take his advice AutoZone is cheaper and they never give me grief about their warranties. That or I'll wait for it to be shipped from the...
Read moreWay over priced, extremely ignorant staff. They price gouge, and unless you bring in the actual part your replacing they're incapable of finding the correct one you need. They are 100%-500% higher than ordering it from Rock Auto. And if they ever say they can have it shipped they just go to Rock Auto and order the part then mark it up criminally high and sell it to you for a ridiculous profit. Dont rely on them to assist you with information on how to fix your vehicle, they cant even look up a part correctly from a cataloge. Ill be glad when they finally close all their stores, which they will. Because thanks to Rock Auto getting parts for your vehicle has been revolutionized. And they will do to parts stores, exactly what red box and Netflix did to...
Read more"It SHOULD work" does not cut it with today's cars/equipment. Oreily auto sells you the wrong part probably 60% of the time. What's worse is if you don't know any better they can damage your vehicle/equipment.
NO I cannot use a car oil filter for a high pressure hydraulic system.
NO I will not let you make me a hydraulic hose with METAL (not brass) fittings to screw into and crack a cast iron control valve.
It's like going to McDonald's. You avoid it until eventually you forget how bad you felt the last time, go back by mistake, and instantly hate yourself for doing so. Oreilys will never get it right, no matter how many chances...
