This tour was so awesome. We had Jon and Sid as our guides. There were 13 of us out on Lake Powell enjoying the breeze and the sun! They taught us about the canyons history and when we got to the canyon they were very communicative about how much time we had for the hiking and what time we should go back to the kayaks. (This came in handy as the tour had children and elderly people - really really not recommended) My girlfriend and I are also extra sporty and we wanted to go deeper in the canyon so Sid and Jon recommended we rent an individual kayak from Tony on the Boat launch. They even let us go ahead of the group to head back and make it with enough time to explore. All in all we spent a whole day on the lake and left feeling full exercised (and a little sunburnt 🥲) Note: -Not recommended for people who cannot kayak for 45 minutes to and hour. - Not recommended for those with very little balance and coordination. - BRING WATER AND SNACKS - Put sunscreen on your hands!

It’s simple: book Hidden Canyon Kayak. I’ve gone on two different tours with this company (Antelope Canyon in 2018 and Lone Rock in 2020) and they went above and beyond to provide a quality and FUN experience. I think what’s most impressive is there ability to give a quality tour for a diverse group of people with varying levels of experience. In my last group, we had 3 folks who never kayaked before (including 1 person who didn’t know how to swim) and myself and fiancé who love to kayak. We all walked away with a fun tour and great experience. Make sure to ask for Shook, he is one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. Love these folks. We will definitely book with them again on our next trip to Lake Powell.

The tour guides at hidden canyon kayak are awesome! They arrived at the lakes on time and had all of kayaks in the water and waiting. We were given information on kayaking Lake Powell and we were off. 30 minutes out on the lake in and we pulled off for a quick swim in the beautiful cool water along with a little cliff jumping! We then proceeded to kayak in between the beautiful surrounding canyon walls. The tour guides did great at keeping everyone safe at all times. Half way through our tour they provided water and snacks for all. The tour guides took pictures of everyone while kayaking and emailed a link to all of the families several days later. I highly recommend this company!

With Hidden Canyon Kayak there is this deep appreciation for Lake Powell Beauty and history . And a healthy respect for the ever changing weather . The equipment from the motor boat ( The Mother Ship ) which is designed with 2 pontoons a big deck and large passenger cabin and 2 huge motors carries all of us plus all the gear and kitchen also all the fresh food . This beautiful boat will take us up Lake to find the perfect beach to make camp . plus motor us around during our stay out to different canyons and slots to paddle . While we paddle The Mother Ship may follow. along to provide support and set up lunch . If at anytime you are tried of paddling the guides make it possible to hop on for a ride . The tents are Great as are the bags and pads . And cots maybe requested . The potty situation is Always private and clean . And the kitchen is amazing in its efficiency and the Great meals they cook for us . For breakfast you may have pancakes with bacon or sausage warm syrup or eggs to order ....toasted English muffins or bagels .... Hot coffee and Hot water for coco or tea ....fresh cut fruit . Lunch is a sandwich spread with All the goodies you can want , chips and cookies . HCK provides a choice of drinks and Always drinking water . Now dinner maybe steaks pork chops , chicken , fresh fish , homemade pasta sauce , a Mexican dish Always with a salad and fresh vegetable . and deserts will knock your socks off . All the guides are trained and certified by the Coast Guard as well as First Responder certified .And believe me your safety is of the upmost importance to them . But they see to it that you are enjoying yourself to the max . The sheer power and beauty of the canyons , hiking the slots paddling between walls that reach the sky and sometimes are so narrow you have to push yourself along with your hands . The ever changing colors of the water , the reflection and the dancing sunlight on the walls are thing your not likely to forget . Not to mention the sunrise or sunsets or the magic of the night sky . If you can make the 5 day trip DO IT . You will Never forget the time spent on the...

This company had to cancel our tour due to low water levels. No problem, we understand.

We emailed early in October requesting our refund. No response. Emailed again a couple days later. No response. Emailed a 3rd time. No response.

Then we called. Barry answered the phone. She had no information for us but said she’d have someone call us back. So we waited a couple days. No call back. We called again on the 4th, this tine Anne answered. She made lots of excuses about how busy the owners were but finally gave in and processed the refund while we were on the phone (or so we were told). She said we’d get an email confirming the refund. When that email didn’t come by the 10th we called back. Barry answered. She had no information but said she confirmed the refund was processed on the 4th.

Today is past the 7 business days so we called again. All this time still no answers to any emails. Anne answered. She looked, didn’t see the refund and supposedly called the owner who apparently told her the refund was never processed. Then Anne told us we’d get a call back today or tomorrow. I explained that we will be on vacation tomorrow so we prefer a call today. She made more excuses about how busy the owners were and how many businesses they run. No apology. No accountability. No acknowledgment of responsibility. Just a lot of attitude and defensiveness. As though I’m way out of place asking for my money back and being upset that, 10 days after we were explicitly told our refund was processed we found out it wasn’t. She kept acting as though I was blaming her that the water levels were low… going so far to say “what do you want us to let you kayak off a cliff…?” No, Anne… this was never about the tour getting canceled. This was always about us wanting o it money back, you giving us wrong answered or vague informations and your inability to act in even a halfway professional manner. And all this time still no response or acknowledgment from the owners while he holds our...

This was such a cool experience! We had the best guide John who was an absolute gem! Our group was about 6 people all varying in age and fitness level. Our group completed the kayak and hike which were very much worth it! We needed slight accommodations and Sid and John were reassuring and supportive for both my mom and I. This tour is really for everyone and I can't recommend this tour company and John enough. Because we traveled during off season, we had the entire lake and trail to ourselves. John left much time for us to take cool pictures and was a wealth of knowledge. He made sure to engage with each person in the group and was successful in getting the more shy individuals to step out of their comfort zones. John and Sid (the other employee) made this tour worth it. They provided awesome recommendations for things in the area and also future outdoor related activities in the U.S.

Be sure to pack enough water. Remember you are in a kayak and your items will likely get soaked. Luckily they provide one water proof bag per kayak which can hold your phone and camera. If you feel the need to pack more, I recommend that you bring your own waterproof back pack. I opted to go barefoot in the kayak and wear shoes on the hike. You will have to walk through water to get on and off of the boat. Do not let your size and fitness level deter you from this tour. The team is incredibly accommodating and reassuring, making this the perfect tour for all.

Highly recommend this tour and either...
