Pho Viet 2 — Restaurant in Palm Bay

It was a terrible experience from the very start. No one was up front to welcome us, so we seated ourselves. We sat for five minutes before the waitress even brought us menus… she didn’t give us any time to review before asking what we wanted to drink. My husband ordered hot tea, and while she was working behind the counter he politely asked if he could also have an iced water. She put her finger up to him and rudely told him to wait until she was done working. She later came up to our table to take our order- said nothing, just stood there and stared aggressively. I ordered Pho Tai Nam, a very popular dish at any Viet restaurant, and she harshly stated “I’m not Vietnamese, just tell me the number.” I am also not Vietnamese but do my best to be respectful of other cultures. My husband couldn’t believe the tone she took with me and just stated the number of the order he wanted (Bun Bo Hue.) The food was fine, but we were already so put off by the terrible service that the food didn’t even really matter at that point. Admittedly, we left a smaller than average tip to reflect the poor service. On our way out, the waitress noticed the tip and aggressively approached my husband and loudly asked “excuse me, was there something you didn’t like?!?” My husband told her plain and simple “I didn’t like your service. You were extremely rude from the start.” To which she responded “You thought I was rude?!?” He then listed each example of her rudeness and wished her a good day. This was a purposeful attempt on her part to try to embarrass us in front of other customers. Before writing this review, I was not surprised to read other reviews stating the very same complaints! I really hate writing bad reviews, but my experience was not a good one at all. I called ahead to order boba for my coworkers, but the girl on the phone said she wouldn't take call ahead for drink orders and that it would be quick just to order when I got there. I was on a time limit, but I figured it shouldn't take too long since she said they weren't busy. When I arrived, I placed my order for 4 different drinks. After waiting about 15 min, I asked if the drinks were almost done, and I needed to get back to work. 5 min later she came out with the drinks. I feel like 20 min is way too long to wait in an empty restaurant for 4 drinks, especially since she refused to let me order over the phone. Anyways, when I got back , one of the drinks was wrong, so I called back and asked if they would replace it. They told me no, that I had received exactly what I ordered. The drink that was wrong was my own and I read each order from a written order sheet. I'm assuming that she must have misunderstood which is fine, but I know what I said, and they refused to replace the drink. She offered to give me a free topping in my next drink or I could come back and get the correct boba pearls lol. The whole drink tastes awful because of the mess up, adding more to it won't fix anything. Everyone else said that their drinks weren't that great either. Worst 30 dollars spent...

Deceptive menu. There are vegetarian sections on the menu and many items with word "vegetarian" in the name, but to our unfortunate surprise we learned that these often have fish sauce when my husband inquired what was in the vegetarian eggroll sauce he just ate. Server then informed us that there are ingredients such as oyster sauce in the vegetarian stirfries and she kept insisting that vegetarians eat fish (although all seafood terms are in a separate section of the menu) Anyone doing a Google search or reading the definition of "vegetarian" in Wikipedia will see that they are using an atypical definition of vegetarian - seafood is not part of a vegetarian diet. A restaurant should be more knowledgeable about what these terms mean especially if they have the word "vegetarian" scattered all over their menu!! Terrible and disrespectful to the customer. I am still not sure what was in my dish. I was told oyster sauce but then the server backtracked and said soy sauce when she saw I wasn't happy. Don't trust this...
