Central Landings at Town Center Apartments — Local services in Palm Coast

For the first 7 months I had no issues everything was fine I’m not sure what shifted the tempo but it was horrible towards the end. It started with non stop discriminatory letters, like “we noticed dog feces in your area surrounding your apartment” and reminding to clean up. I’m not the only person with dogs and maybe if they had dog poop stations like other complexes they wouldn’t have this issue, they have one towards the front office for the whole complex. Then they put notices on people’s doors to record other residents that are violating policies for a reward, that’s not a homey feeling to have to worry about getting recorded. And they have roaches if you do not keep up with pest control they will start coming everywhere, I had roaches pop up in between pest control visit time gaps. My garage that I paid for also was infested with roaches except they don’t spray the garages. I put in a request for a spray because they haven’t came in awhile and some fill in contractor for them came and said there was dog feces all over my apartment in which he didn’t feel comfortable walking around my apartment past the kitchen, and also that I had a extra dog. Meanwhile he came at 9-10 am my dog was still in his crate and had a accident in the cage which I was cleaning while the pest control guy was there. I had a notice on my door a little later saying I was being fined $400 for having a extra dog that I never had that he said he didn’t see but thought he heard and the letter also said they were doing a check of my apartment. 2 dogs were on my lease one was in his cage and one was in my room after explaining this to the office they still said I had to pay it and they would believe the fill in contractor versus me because he works for them, I offered for them to check my apartment right then and there it was the same day as the accusations and within a couple minutes of receiving the letter they refused to come invalidate the claims. When they did come check my apartment no extra dogs no signs of feces stains no issue I still was responsible for the $400 dollar fine. I told them I would not pay that fine because it’s based on he said she said, and they blocked my account from paying my rent until I paid the $400 dollars or signed a paper saying I would. Moral of the story I never paid the fine and vacated the apartment and turned in the keys, I also requested to get a bigger apartment multiple times got a different story every time. I asked to transfer my lease to a sister complex they said they wouldn’t I would have to break my lease to do so, all around it was just terrible towards the end. The positive to this is Liana she was very pleasant to deal with I expressed all of this to her and I could tell she definitely wished she could help but she was not in charge to do so. Kelly (who is in charge) on the other hand acts nice in the beginning and actually has no compassion for the residents she is very cut throat and the person above her is worse then her. Wish I could give zero stars. They seem nice when you first see them and the price seems right! DO NOT FALL FOR IT! Been there 4 years since the complex opened. They will raise your rent for no reason and when you ask they will give you the run around, this is supposed to be income base apt, IT IS NOT!!! They will steal your money! When we’re doing a walk through they will take your deposit because you didn’t clean the fans enough! Crazy when the apt was fully cleaned! From top to bottom! They will force you to show prof you washed your carpet! When in fact on the contract they are supposed to clean the carpets once a year! In the 4 years of being here they NEVER came once to wash the carpet! When you ask for touch up paint, they will give you the wrong color on purpose just charge you! Our AC broke several times and we put in for an Emergancy call! THeY never came! Also plenty of German roaches. Run away and don’t live here they will rob you blind. They will lie in your face and charge you later! Don’t move here! It’s over crowded, loud, they will charge you for throwing your trash away. Liana & Kelly are both amazing and were extremely helpful! ♥️ Editing as I am no longer a tenant. I only have one complaint about living at central landings. The maintenance man with glasses was very disrespectful towards me and should NOT work for this complex and have access to keys. I felt very uncomfortable knowing he was one of the maintenance guys. He felt like just because he can , he thinks he can. Came into the apartment while I was sleeping after finally getting my 6 month old down. And another time he just showed up with no notice to change out a filter and expected me to be okay with it and disrespected me while I was telling him I had a right to a notice. All the women in the office were amazing and I still stand on that. Liana was my absolute favorite person there and she truly needs a raise of any kind! If you don’t want a random man in your apartment because you were sleeping , don’t live here. Also, this is not what you call “low income” restricted. There are cheaper places to live even with a resort style pool and free parking. I’ll never pay $30 for another parking spot just to park my...
