Central Landings Senior Living Apartments — Local services in Palm Coast

I love this apartment! It was designed with seniors and their specific needs in mind, except maybe for the fact everything has to be done on the computer. I love the bars in my shower and wish I’d had them when I had my knee replacement surgery in 2021! I have more counter space, drawers and a linen closet. Also, the tub is textured on the bottom: no slipping or need for a bath mat and easy to clean. The kitchen is awesome! It has LED recessed lighting and is very well lit (as is the entire apartment) which is wonderful for people with age-related macular degeneration that require a lot of light to see. I have so many drawers and cabinets and huge double pantry that holds everything! There is a separate laundry room and energy efficient appliances that made a big difference in my bills along with the thermal windows and the fact that it less than 2 years old. I have walk-in closets in both bedrooms; one is very large with room for storage of luggage and such. The split floor plan would lend itself well to a roommate or caretaker and each bedroom has it’s own private bath. My mail is securely locked and there is an Amazon Hub for packages that emails arrivals and codes for you to pick up. Maintenance is awesome and the office staff, Kristen and Kelly, are efficient and personable. The location is great! It’s readily accessible for getting on I-95, close to my gym, and has walking trails behind the movie theater and to Central Park where you can enjoy activities, displays, events, Food Truck Tuesdays and much more. It is only a mile to Town Center Shopping Center and Belle Terre Parkway. The performing arts center is directly across the street where I enjoy going to the Creative Bazaar the first Saturday of every month. I have met many new friends and enjoy doing things with them. We have a social room and Fitness Center on site which is open 24/7 with our key fob. One of my only objections is the lack of visitor parking spots and the fact that the social room is closed evenings, weekends and holidays. BEWARE! This is their explanation of what they deducted from my $700 security deposit. Attached are the pictures taken at move out after I paid one of their former maintenance men to clean the apartment to their OWN specifications. I paid close to $450 for this tremendous job that he did, including shampooing the rug. Imaging my surprise when I read about the “deep clean”, repainting and repairing walls…..leaving me with $30!! I was there for 4 years! Might as well to have just left it and had them do it. Who knew they were going to charge me anyway? The community director is a difficult person for both residents and staff to deal with. Maintenance staff has turned over many times because of her mismanagement. This place is taking absolute advantage of the elderly and their finances. After weeks of being in the approval process my grandmother was finally approved, and they give her a less than 24 hour away move-in date. They then inform me her service dog won’t be approved in at least 2 months and she will have to pay the additional money a month until it is approved. WHICH IS ILLEGAL. I asked to get a later move in date and the management denied my request and said she would be put to the back of the waiting list if she does not take the next day move in date!
