We often find that many people write, call or post when they have something to complain about, and very rarely do you read about the good in people. We have a story to tell about the Winn Dixie on US Route 100 in Flagler Beach, Florida. My husband does the shopping for groceries and he often frequents your store. He arrives early at the Deli counter to have the meats cut on a clean machine since I have Celiac disease and need to avoid cross-contamination. Over the years he and your Deli ladies have become very friendly and know what he wants before he does. One Saturday morning he mentions that he believed he had cancer and would keep them in the loop. With the diagnosis confirmed and has not been able to do the grocery shopping since. I then began the craziness of shopping. I went to the Deli department and began to explain to the person about my needs for slicing, Kris mentioned that she had another customer that had a similar order for his wife, I said that is me! She then asked about his health, finished the order and I left. Last Sunday, Valentineās Day I was able to drive my husband to Winn Dixie he approaches the counter and the staff was very happy to see him, Kris, and Amy. They inquired about his health and after a short conversation, we left to finish our shopping. At the checkout counter, I noticed Kris from the corner of my eye but paid no attention. When the bags were packed Kris, approached us with a bouquet of three roses and said, ā You are such a nice couple and I know your husband would have loved to have bought you these flowers if he was able to and we want you to know that we are praying for youā. Well, I broke out in tears, Kris, my husband, and the checkout girl all had tears in their eyes.
This letter is to tell you that there are caring people in this world and you are fortunate enough to have hired two very special people. Thank you Winn Dixie this is a memory I will forever keep...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas in the store last night. Cashier was new or something. I was with my 2 children and made a large order for my digital coup in app. (Winn-Dixie is not honoring their app coups properly...it is the 3rd time the digital app screwed up on a $10/$70 purchase. Spent over $100. Never got the coupon even though it was activated...). This is not the store's fault... The customer service though...that was disgusting. Cashier didn't greet, no smile, nothing. Was like I was not even present. When I purchased toilet paper on sale and used a coupon printed from the kiosk, she told me I already got discounted from the sale so I couldn't use the coupon. Lol. Had a manager come who showed her how to apply it. Can I tell you how embarrassing this was? Lol. I cannot help that Winn Dixie put an item on sale and gives a $6 coupon at tge kiosk in the same week. Got home and found my raw steak bagged with my veggies that I did not intend on cooking. Now I kind of have to...and the produce purchased was for a dinner party this Friday. Now I have tp re-purchase it all so there is not a chance for guests to get sick. Will not be back after this. No apology or anything. Last time the app discount was not applied, so I turned around and returned the item. It was evening and the night manager was so put off by me returning 2 items. Lol. She screamed at 3 people who lined up for lotto behind me. We are done at this store. Publix accepts Winn Dixie coupons so we will simply use them there. And their customer service and produce...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been parking my rig in the far far corner for 5 years with no issues. So this guy in a white doulie truck put a green tow sticker on the window up for tow. Mind you that there were 3 other rigs in the parking lot blocking the main road. None of them received a tow ticket. So, luckily I went to check on it. Found the sticker on my window. He drove by me and sat and watched load up my truck. He was waiting to tow it. This is the second time I got that sticker even though I had permission to park there. The authorization was in the window. I was parked on the other side. I wasnāt blocking other daily deliveries. The fact that he had his phone ready watching out his side mirror. The good thing was that we were allowed to park elsewhere. To the man who keeps putting those tow ticket on my truck, you better get the rest of the trucks in the main parking lot as well. Those semiās are there for weeks at a time. Just feel targeted when I have written permission taped in the window.
Back to shopping at that store. I stopped completely shopping there because itās too far from...
