Candy Barrel — Local services in Palmetto

While they do have a wide selection of candies, newer and nostalgic, the staff is very wishy washy. They will sometimes greet you when you walk in but sometimes they won’t. They will sometimes ask if you are looking for anything, and sometimes they just stare you down and remind you not to touch anything or eat anything before purchasing. Kind of feels like a bull walking through a china shop.. but it’s a candy store? There’s no joy, no “sweet” service, just cold piercing eyes watching your every move before check out. I’m sure they want customers but if they’re not welcoming or inviting, then it defers customers...

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Walked into the store today with children since it’s a candy store and the employee was in the back on the phone screaming profanities arguing with her boyfriend on the phone. She came out and saw us and then retreated to the back to continue yelling at the whole time. He cheated, dump him...

This place is the bigggggggest rip off ever. That $1 bag of Candy at the gas station is like $6 + here . It’s a very cute bag but 1lb of candy for $16 is a lot. Be prepared to stare at the register say $19 + for a Random handful bag of candy. I respect everyone needs to make a living but no one is ready to spend $30 on candy...
