After moving to the Palos area several years ago, on the forefront of my mind was finding a jeweller who was both reputable as well as easy to work with.

After several encounters with other local shops whom consisted of

Pushy salespeople with product not nearly upto par with their highly inflated prices.

I then had the privilege of finding LD Jewelers and meeting the owner Michael and his father Len.

Their shop carries an amazing selection of not only diamonds, but also many other high quality stones.

I brought them my diamond/platinum eternity necklace that is a cherished anniversary gift from my husband.

The chain that had come with the piece had broken and I wanted to replace it with another that was a bit more sturdy.

When I was unable to find quite what I was after, they were actually kind enough to go looking via their connections to see if they could help me.

Let me add that I am VERY picky when it comes to my jewellery.

Upon returning a week later I almost cried, as the chain they found for me was absolutely breathtaking!

Out of my entire collection of jewelry, this chain has continued to be a personal favourite.

I am also an avid watch collector. I am frequently popping into their shop with my vast collection.

Michael is always more than happy to assist me with my timepieces, when it comes to repairing or even simple battery replacement.

They have even gone up and beyond to find "oddities" for me, when it comes to repairs on some of my more unique pieces of jewelry, many of which are vintage.

I have plans of using their custom services in the near future for the design and making of a moisenite ring for myself.

Probably the worst service that i have ever seen from a business.I mean i am still in shock and its been a couple days since the incident. The son of the owner is rude and unprofessional and a liar.After i had him order me a moissanite stone that was supposed to be a 2 carat (i just now found out they lied because it is a 1.5 and yet he charged me for a 2! ) When i was not happy with the color of the stone and came in to have it exchanged the son basically told me "my father told me if you came in here i was to handle you by showing you the door" and then called the police on me when i kept asking him why he wouldn't just exchange the stone for me. He kept telling me how i was a problem from the start and that he only made $150 on me and i was not worth his time, and how i asked a thousand questions and was so annoying! I was in tears from the way he treated me and i'm still in shock. Please beware of the owners son and do not deal with him. I may be picky and if im spending money i want to get a good quality stone, and even the company that he ordered the stone from told me that they were in shock that he wouldn't exchange the stone as they have a 30 day return or exchange policy and that it was not a problem. He basically took money from me and then didnt care if i was happy or not. BE aware, they also have reviews on Yelp and other places about the son being rude and unprofessional so it is not only me. The officer that came when he called the police basically shook his head and said that hes pretty stubborn and doesn't care to work with you in any way and gave me advice on where to go to file a claim and that is what...

LD jewelry is the best! I CANNOT thank them enough for their quality work! Long story short, my fiancé spent thousands on the engagement ring of my dreams from a mall jeweler.
