This place just keeps getting worse every single time we come. Came in with my husband to a very sweet hostess that greeted us as soon as we arrived and let us know our wait time. She promptly seated us as soon as she cleared a table off. After waiting 10 minutes for a server to greet us my husband approached the hostess and made her aware of our lack of service. Shorty after we were greeted and we ordered everything at once since we had waited awhile. The hostess was the one to bring our waters and bread to the table. She apologized for our wait and explained how short staff the restaurant was. Meanwhile I’m seeing other servers check their sections with flashlights to make sure they can check out and leave for the night. Our server seemed bothered and hesitant with my request for a few samples before ordering a bottle of wine. The party next to us had separate checks spread across 4 tables and our server was apparently trying to help their coworker get the checks straightened out. He kept scrambling past the table every 10 minutes with false promises of my drink being made. After 30 minutes my single margarita was brought to the table (by the hostess). Then 10 minutes later a bartender or some other server came by to verify what samples I wanted for my wine. Our server was once again dealing with another coworkers parties checks (screwed up again) and rudely said “I’m just trying to help yall out. You’re not even my table. I can’t even attend to my tables. My manager was the one that messed up the checks” before walking away and never returning. As for the food, My husbands salmon was overcooked and under seasoned and I was missing a side with my meal. The server never checked on us. I had to get up and physically go to him. He simply looked up from the POS system and asked if I wanted that bottle of wine. I said no I’m missing mashed potatoes and I want a box and the check. Had to ask the hostess for my side of mashed potatoes because he never gave them to me and had to have the manager check us out at a POS system in the middle of the restaurant because he never returned to the table. Our server just walked past us several times without saying anything. Only pleasant thing about this restaurant was the hostess McKenzie. I’m a server myself so for me to not tip is...
Read moreThe comments about poor service is pretty accurate I'd say. Not very graceful, poor service overall, but MAN is the food good. I've been to many, many MANY steakhouses. From franchise Steakhouses, to local steakhouses, to high end restaraunts, I must say that this place was a pleasant surprise. I am a big fan of steaks, the good ol' Filet or Ribeye Med-Rare with nothing but Salt, Pepper, Garlic with a nice crust. The Steak here was nothing like I'm used to, but boy was it a pleasant experience. Filet with Parmesan crust was not something I thought I'd enjoy. It taste nothing like a "quintessential steak" but man it was very good. Although if I'm being fair, the chicken stole the spotlight! I've neverhad chicken be so tender and juicy without being undercooked/overcooked which is extremely common nowadays. The side veggies and salads were delicious and plentiful. It's not often that I go to a restaurant and leave with a smile on my face. I did not come here hungry by the way, and I ate everything on my plate. Very well balanced, well portioned, fair price and wonderful flavors. Not the BEST steak I've had, but very good for the price and still a wonderful dining experience. If the customer service was better, I'd have rated it a solid 5/5. Very pleased,...
Read moreHad a great experience on our first visit to the new Longhorn Steakhouse last evening in Panama City Florida. I do recommend calling ahead to be put on the wait list. For a Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. we were surprised that it was so very busy! Our wait was about 25 minutes.
Atmosphere was nice, it's a new place so everything is great looking. Wait staff was excellent across the board. They have not skimped on the wait staff as so many restaurants seem to do. That in itself makes for a great dining experience.
We were a party of four, seated at a booth. Three of us ordered the 6 oz sirloin with the shrimp. It comes with rice, a side salad, and one side of your choice. You also get bread and butter at your table. The fourth in our party ordered a ribeye steak. Okay - all three of us who had the 6 oz sirloin said it was hard to chew, quite tough. We were all kind of surprised. Perhaps we got a bad batch of steaks? Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. Very tasty, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and everything else was very good, no complaints at all. The fourth member who had the ribeye said it was very tender and tasty.
We ordered no appetizers so...
