Me and my fiancé were looking for a furniture place in Paramus since we had recently moved to New Jersey., we stumbled across this place and purchased a dining table, chairs, island counter stools and sectional sofa.
The furniture itself took a very long time to receive, longer than we were told. Every time I called which was probably once a month if that the owner zack seemed irritated and was very passive aggressive.
The dining table and chairs we received first did not match the existing one in the showroom. When I mentioned this to him he said it was the same color. Then after a few times he said the color wouldnât match exactly as the table in the showroom. I didnât push it even though we were somewhat dissatisfied with the final product because I knew it wouldnât go anywhere. I dropped it hoping that would be the only issue.
Our sofa was delivered without the power cord also. And one of the dining table chairs had a missing black cap underneath the chair which made it unlevel. When I went back to the store to pickup the power cord I asked the owner zack three times to have the black cap under the chair delivered with the counter stools when they arrived. He assured me multiple times it would be.
Months later the stools arrived. Only they were the wrong stools. They were bar stools instead of counter stools. And of course, the delivery guys were not told about the black cap for the bottom of the dining chair.
The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the delivery guys were top tier, nice and super accommodating. The furniture itself is poor quality despite the owners constantly saying itâs top German quality. The sofa we got is loud and constantly creaks at many different points in the couch
We understand things happen from time to time, but too many things went wrong and the passive aggressiveness from zack the owner made the process worse during an already stressful process. It felt as soon as they had our money which was paid up front as required we were no longer priority. When you are providing customers with a product patience and understanding is vital. This ensures repeat customers and unfortunately I would not recommend anyone to purchase anything here.
Update on 6/1/23- Firstly, you called me once which was yesterday 5/31/23 and I was walking into a meeting. I had all the intentions of calling you back by the weeks end however since you cannot wait to reply to my review let me put an end to the bed of lies being spewed. Not only did you NOT call me multiple times Zack initially told me not to call and to email. I sent an email on three separate occassions during the process and never received a response back.
Secondly, How did I have all my furniture for a year If I havent even lived at my new residence for 9 months?
Thirdly, the dining set I got did not match with the one in the showroom. You initially said it was the same exact thing and same color, then after I was more persistent Zack said the colors/finish may not match exactly. Which one is it? If your going to lie then stick with one. When I did ask if an exchange was possible you said it was not.
The sofa is garbage quality, the buttons work intermittently with the sliding seat and the sofa creaks substantially when someone sits on it. It feels & looks like a 15 year old sofa. Its such trash we will most likely be buying a new one within the year.
It was no issue taking my money immediately but once I needed updates and assistance there was no customer service and an inferior product was given despite the constant mentioning of superior german furniture.    Read moreI went to the store in Newark to purchase some items, I informed the manager that I was purchasing the items to ship them overseas , anyway the delivery was very quick as they claimed they wanted to get the stuff out so that they will have space in the warehouse. I shipped my items and upon setting up one of the bed it was noticed that the legs for the headboard was missing, I am positive I didnât receive this item because I numbered each item before my shipping company came to pick them up. This is a huge problem because the missing part needs to be attached to the headboard as well as the side rails and itâs also the legs for the head board. I went back to the store and their excuse was that some of the headboard comes with the item and some come separately, you would think knowing this information and knowing I said I was shipping the items they would ensure I received all of my items. Now I am unable to assemble my bed and need to ship the items, fedex and Dhl is charging me over $600 to ship this item to receive it on time and I have asked the management for assistance with shipping the item since it was their fault and they have done nothing but give me the run around.    Read moreHad great experience at the store. Loved the furniture. Our issues is with the delivery - while the delivery guys were very nice, they were definitely not careful enough. They set our bed and couch. I sat on both of them, and it seemed fine when the guys were there. While the bed is looking fine so far, the first time I sat on the recliner of the couch after they left , it gave in, detached from rest of the couch and I fell on the floor. The recliner was not properly attached to rest of the couch. The couch damaged our new hardwood floor. Be very very wary of their delivery.
Update: just received a call from the owner who threatened me to remove this review. This is scary guys. Beware. Maybe thats why they don't have negative reviews
And just to respond to the owner: please read the review again before calling someone a lier. I never said they scratched the floor. I said after they left, the recliner came disassembled and floor got scratched. Regarding us having them move the couch, absolutely, I asked them to place it against the wall rather than right in the middle of my living room and they obliged. Look, mistakes can happen from anyone, and a simple apology or acceptance could go a long way.
