We offer statewide 24/7 mobile service and have several techs across the state that do top notch five star work at less cost then this shop and we come to you.... We are based out of Wichita so it’s convenient to run parts out of Wichita to our guys while on the job, as we just can’t keep everything possible in stock, last weekend we went to Missouri twice (Friday night and Sunday) for common isx bolt on parts as wichita Kenworths after hours parts numbers do not get you anywhere. The week before that on a weekday night it was a dd15 turbo we couldn’t get them to sell us.
The only number we can ever raise anyone at is answered by someone who is nasty rude and not interested at all in helping. He kept saying call the other number and press six We told him when we do so it asks for a password. A password which we do not have
He did not care after we called him back twice explaining the situation. What a piece of work huh? Do you think he asked us what we needed or how he could help? No. A MAN or WOMAN with a good head on their shoulders and heart in their chest would have said let me toss my boots on and I’ll be down there to help you, instead these people carry the “not my problem flag” (not the attitude you want in people you are trusting with you livelihood and equipment) that night we needed a simple fan clutch assembly and bracket nothing major just somewhat pricey parts that our customer needed so he could keep moving. Since they REFUSED TO HELP we drove to MHC KENWORTH IN KANSAS CITY and as always the parts were sitting there ready for us. This dealer actually reached out to us a few weeks ago after we left a comment on their Facebook and surprise surprise nothing has changed with them. We deal with parts vendors and dealers from Denver Colorado to Springfield Missouri, Omaha Nebraska to Oklahoma City Oklahoma weekly and can not even begin to think of another place so UNEAGER to please. They definitely have that “not my problem” mentality.
Just peel the after hours stickers and ads off of everything and nobody will bother you during your beauty rest. We take the chance to remind every single one of our KW driving customers how worthless they are, when we have to drive 6 hours round trip to get their common KW parts. Usually Wichita truck center will pick up the slack or even Peterbilt but some specific parts we have to travel out of state for regularly because this dealership just doesn’t want our money apparently,
I personally would love to have the keys and provide your after hours answering and parts service for you so that we can actually help the people who need your stuff. Or even allow your personnel to come over and see what’s it’s like to roll out of bed and do your job when it’s not convenient for you.

Read moreI moved to Wichita in Aug 0f '10 and blew a turbo on the way here. The people I was leased to said to go to Wichita KW and see Ronnie in the shop. From that day until today, their shop has done most of my major work. I have been treated very well by Ronnie and his Techs who realize I am a "one truck" operator and do all in their power to get me out of the shop and back on the road. THE PROBLEM AROSE WHEN I BOUGHT A TRUCK FROM THEM APRIL 30TH 0F'14. My wife has known the salesman there for many years and so I thought I would give them a try. I purchased a used 2008 KW T-800 for my 2009 Volvo 780 and $4000 (yes, I know I got peeled but I had my reasons). Before I could put the truck to work, my brother-in-law lost his cancer battle (May 7th). The first night I had the truck on the road (in Dodge City) I tried the bunk heater and found it not working. The second night in Kansas City I needed A/C in the bunk and had none. When I returned to the dealership and presented my concern I was told by the used truck Mgr "You bought a used truck, what do you expect, and besides your Volvo had things wrong with it too". I put it in the shop and Ronnie and his guys did their usual excellent work. I had the truck back the next day and owed Wichita KW over $800. HERE'S THE RUB: the heater lines to the bunk were found to be disconnected, and the evaporator was clogged and the expansion valve bad. Being moderately intelligent, along with over 40 years in trucking, I would guess that would be reason enough for the HVAC system not working in the bunk!!! What I do not understand is how in the world they can take a vehicle in on trade, run it through the RECON shop, and not notice it has no HVAC in the sleeper bunk. It also had extensive work on the cab A/C done and no one noticed the bunk system was out?? I trusted the salesman when he told me the truck was OK, and I honestly believe he believed it was. Another interesting fact: I had a $2500 credit limit on my account and it was dropped to $1000 despite NEVER being later and always paying in full each month since it was opened. Nobody, including the CFO could tell me why....... In short, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER TRUCK THERE, NOR RECCOMEND ANYONE ELSE DO SO. I have sent a demand for payment letter to the owner of Wichita KW and will be suing them if it is not paid as...
Read moreI went to Kenworth in Wichita, KS to diagnose check engine light on my truck. They could not get it done same day so I waited till next morning to get it diagnosed and worked on. While they were working on my truck I also requested them to do DOT inspection on my truck as well. There was a loose wire on wiring harness causing check engine light to be on. Their technician took several hours to "diagnose and correct" this simple broken wire. He spliced it and put a ton of electrical tape on it-looked real horrible. He then proceeded to do a DOT "inspection" where he simply walked around the truck and didn't even go underneath the truck. He totally missed that one of my brake lights was not working at the time. When I was ready to leave I noticed it myself and he said "it was working when I looked at it" He didn't even check the lights as part of DOT inspection. He replaced the light that I found not to be working, did a so called "DOT inspection and fixed a broken wire @ total cost of $736.59 I had to pay the bill to get my truck out of the shop. Check engine light came back on after approximately 2,000 miles. They failed to fix the problem that I went there to get fixed in the first place. These guys have shady workmanship practices and will cheat you out of your hard earned money. I would strongly suggest you avoid this shop at all costs and get work done elsewhere as these guys will...
