We come here about every two weeks for dog food and any extras. Last Saturday was the first time I’ve felt this disrespected in my life. Me and my fiancé were shopping for dog food and treats, and the look around the clothes to see if he finally wanted a button up or a new jacket. We paid 75 left loaded our car put away our cart and we’re chased out by I assume a manger. She accused my fiancé of stealing a hat. A Carhartt hat (y’all don’t sell those). I understood where they were coming from. He keeps his stickers and hats in perfect condition and maintains his belongings. Yelled u gonna pay for that. Multiple times after I said it was his. Him confused asked “me?” And she said “yes you” and continued for 3 minutes having to explain it’s his. Offered to come in sided. She finally realize maybe she’s in the wrong, Apologized. Saying sorry someone told her we stole the hat. A simple “Sir!, Sir, I’m so sorry to bother you but is that your hat? I had an employee say someone someone might have left without paying.” And I promise you he would’ve have gladly explained and still offered to come in and clear up anything. I hope that manger and the women with a dust broom on concrete take a class on communication and knowing their...
Read moreOne star because zero isn’t an option. I stopped by this Atwoods location first thing in the morning to buy a raincoat. The tag clearly said $69.99. At the register, it rang up as $74.99. The young man at checkout—who, by the way, seemed deeply disillusioned about working for Atwoods—radioed for a price override. Then he literally threw the radio on the counter while we both stood there waiting.
A voice crackled back saying they were too busy unloading a truck to help. Apparently, the concept of “customer in the store, ready to pay” doesn’t register as urgent at this location.
I told the cashier to go ahead and ring it up—I run my own business and needed to open at 0700. I don’t have time to stand around waiting on someone to fix a $5 pricing issue. But let’s be clear: this wasn’t about five bucks. It was about being treated like my time and money don’t matter.
I've shopped here many times. It’s close to home and my business. But today was the last. Today’s purchase was $80. The one a few weeks ago? Closer to $800. I’ll spend that elsewhere from now on—somewhere that understands the people handing over their wallets are the reason paychecks exist. Not this Atwoods. Maybe not...
Read moreI cant speak for all their stores but this Atwoods needs some basic customer service improvements. People wait in lines for 10 minutes at check out, the fitting rooms button doesn't work and even after waiting over 10 minutes I decided to give up and put my pants back on the shelf.
In front of me was a gentleman trying to figure out the price of an item because there were multiple stickers on it and the cashier didn't know so he didn't buy it.
I also walked through the store and several items didn't have a price on them. This ranged from trampolines, to plants in garden area, to chainsaws. I truly believe this store is understaffed or management doesnt communicate well with its associates. The store is also lacking in different types of chainsaws. The one lady up front seemed to know all the prices of items and had al the cashier's asking her what the prices are. What a way to run a business.
The assembler guy for the mowers was really cool and down to earth to talk to and carried on with me for 10 minutes about all the mowers he puts together but again out front a bunch of stuff was missing prices. Kind of the vibe of if you have to ask them you...
