The service call was scheduled and I was called with 10 minutes left in the window and told it would be an hour before someone would be there. This is a short term rental That's over an hour from my home, and there was no way I could wait for the tech. There wasn't really wasn't even an apology let alone any thing done to make up for it. I now have to call someone else. I wasted over three hours of my day, spent money on gas and put miles on my car. I cannot recommend this business.
Addendum: Your response has a lot of words that don't reflect the important facts. The appointment was for 2:00. I told you when making the appointment that we don't live in this home and i was coming from St Louis and could be there at 2:00. Calling me for an earlier time was zero help. They tech called at 2:42 (funny you know that but can't seem to figure out who scheduled me or when?). at 2:42 he said he was an hour away. When i explained the above and that perhaps the person scheduling should always give a window and not a time slot, i was just told 'we don't do specific times'. Well, you did, and you ignored the fact that education was needed for your schedulers. Offering 10% off of possible needed service was of little benefit to me. My 3 hours, including 2 hours in the car, wear and tear and fuel, were worth much more than that. Another company came a few days later. on time. And the call was $400. Read moreI have been doing business with Crystal Heating and Cooling since we built our house in 1999, they have replaced both furnace and air conditioner in one of our rental properties and our home. Recently another our the rental houses had a problem with the air conditioner and naturally I called Crystal Heating and Cooling for service on that unit. They showed up and called me to tell me that they had located the problem and the unit need 3lbs of refergirant at $86.00 a pound to correct the problem, I approved he repair and that was that. $375.00 later I was assured the problem was corrected. 4 days later my renters, who are in their 80's called to tell me the air conditioner was not working, it was on Saturday so I called the emergency number for Crystal and relayed the information to them that I was concerned for the well being of my of renters. As of Monday no one from the company had contacted me so I called again, they told me they would try to get someone out that day or the next. when the tech showed up they called to inform me that the unit had a leak, when asked why that had not been discovered originally i was told that now the air conditioner needed to be replaced. The whole episode has left a very impression with me after having had purchased 3 complete heating and air conditioning units from this company. NEVER AGAIN...
Read moreMy wife tells me the tech was professional however my review of the invoice versus what was done did not add up . $213 and never put a part on the furnace . Nothing was done that I could see other than claim it needed replaced . I think this company is one of those sell new units in volume and can't service anything. The claim was I had a "crack" in the heat exchanger . When Donny the salesman called me I said I have concerns about buying another Carrier unit if this 16 year young furnace has a cracked heat exchanger . He then said oh no worries Carrier has a lifetime warranty on these heat exchangers . I said that's great then your the Carrier dealer take care of this one on that lifetime warranty. He said oh that's up to you to call Carrier & ask for that , in other words I just want to sell you a new furnace not stand behind my brand that I am claiming has failed. I would not use this company again ....
