As a rule I don’t trust dealerships. This place is a prime example of why. Gripe 1: The “sales person” wasn’t interested in actually trying to make a deal. But I use that term loosely, because apparently this person wasn’t even authorized to actually negotiate the sale, only run back-and-forth to some invisible “manager“ who is the REAL salesperson. I didn’t come to play a game of telephone. I want to talk to the person in charge of selling me the dang vehicle. Gripe 2: after it became apparent they didn’t want to try to make a sale, against our better judgment we decided to let their service department check out our transmission and make any necessary repairs. We were told it would be a few days and they would let us know. A week later we called because we haven’t heard anything about it and get yelled at for bothering them. The person who answered the phone said it would probably be 90 days before they even looked at it. We started developing a plan to go pick up our vehicle and take it somewhere else. Two business days later they let us know that the transmission needed to be flushed and needed some gaskets. We were notified when the repairs were made and everything is checked out. Nearly $1000 later we pick up the vehicle only for the same problem they supposedly fixed to arise 30 miles down the road. The wasted money as a lesson learned. Take your vehicle to real professionals.
Edited to add: just to verify I do have the correct dealership, I uploaded a photo of our receipt. But since the responder doesn’t remember, maybe he can ask Mike or Ashley. Mike was friendly enough, just pretty apathetic when it came to trying to make a sale. We were looking at being about $5000 upside down to add to a $42,000 vehicle which somehow in his math added up to $52,000. when I questioned that amount, he didn’t want to talk about it anymore. Nobody else talked to us but Mike. Ashley seemed OK. I didn’t interact...
Read moreHad a very bad experience with their service department. Dropped off our 2003 Dodge Ram to get a starting problem diagnosed. After 4 days no communications. Finally called 20 minutes later we spoke to the Service Manager. He said it would take some hours to figure it out, and they didn't have the right tools to diagnose. I said that what we agreed to pay the 175 for so go ahead. At no point was I made aware the I had just given permission to charge us an additional 175 an hour for what ever they needed. But then 10 days later, still no call with even an update! When we finally call them out of curiosity and we find out it needs an additional 4500 to 5k in injectors. It was out of our price range so we decided to pass, and at that point they communicated very clearly and propmply that our 175 diagnosis fee had magically turned into 817. We don't argue much, it was pretty much pointless they had our truck keys. Even after agreeing to pay, and we were standing in front of the credit card machine to pay, they refused to give us the keys to go and start the truck to get it warmed up. At the end of the day 817 bucks is a cheap price to pay to experience an organization's , communications, honesty, integrity, & trustworthiness. Very happy we chose to get injectors fixed somewhere else for way less than half the price with an trustworthy organization. If we need help with any Dodge or Chrysler needs we would drive. 2 hours to St. Louis or cape. Its worth the extra time and expense to receive a reasonable experience. We were never even afforded the respect of an apology for what they precieved as at worst only a simple miscommunication. Also FYI, we never raised our voice once our used profanity, or demeand anyone at the dealership. Our recommendation would be to find a more trustworthy dealership...
Read moreAbsolutely the worse service I've ever had in the service department. Started out by needing a new thermostat. Which was suppose to be covered on the warranty. Then I had to argue with them that I even had the warranty. Said they had to order the part. Three days later still had not heard from them. Called to find out the part was on back order... So they were never gonna call me to let me know, and just keep me waiting in the dark. Then we asked about using a aftermarket thermostat. Which of course they had to call and get that approved. So finally after all that got my thermostat replaced the following week. Then after about 5 days of getting it fixed the Jeep starts to overheat. Turns out it was a bad thermostat that was staying closed and they couldn't get me in for three weeks to change it. The best they could do is give me a 100 dollar credit because I had our mechanic change it sooner. Because who can go three weeks without a vehicle. I couldn't go over 30 mph without it overheating on a cold day. Was fine with the 100 dollar credit, Because they were gonna replace the engine oil cooler. Turns out that's not on warranty which is fine because it needed fix. So they were gonna give me a discount on it for all the issues we had. Was told it was a 1300 dollar job to fix but we would get it for 980 dollars. Thought that was a good deal until we found out they were up pricing the part on us. Told us it was a 400 dollar part but in reality it was a 250 dollar part. Because I just bought the part outright from them and took it to different Pettus. And they fixed the exact same thing for 217 dollars. Just overall terrible customer service in the...
