This thrift store sold me counterfeit goods. I politely asked for a refund or store credit. The goods were not market as is. There was no disclaimer stating that we cannot guarantee the authenticity of these items. The sales associate failed to inform me that all sales are final. There is nothing on the receipt stating all sales are final. I was trying to be reasonable with Nicole. But she was yelling at me. She even banned me from the store for just asking for a refund or store credit. She said that she does not need to issue a refund or store credit. I didn’t curse her out. I didn’t threaten her. I even offered to give her a magnet so her staff can test the jewelry. Because they are a charity, she thinks that they are exempt. She claims that she got legal counsel. I know that she didn’t get legal counsel that specializes in trade mark infringement. Unfortunately it is illegal to sell counterfeit goods. I explained to her that I am willing to go to the store at King of Prussia to get documentation to show that she is selling a counterfeit item. I am willing to get the jewelry tested from an appraiser. She probably does not think that I will follow through on anything this is why she won’t issue me a refund or store credit. I am also going to report the store to the FTC. I am going to have to go to small claims court over something like this in order to protect future customers. If the store issues me a refund or store credit, then I will remove this review. The store needs to realize that being a charity does not exempt them...
