My first impression was enough to come back and leave a review... I came into this location to attempt to return an item I had ordered online and picked up at a different Carquest location. I walked in with my item and receipt, before I even get to the counter, the gentleman working behind the counter said āwe canāt take those here, youāll have to take them back to advanced auto partsā he saw the advanced auto parts logo on my receipt. Iām not the type of person to argue, but I wanted a different answer than that because I in fact did pick them up at a Carquest location. So I tried telling them I bought them online, where advanced auto parts had me pick them up at a Carquest location. Keep in mind, this guy was LITERALLY wearing and Advanced Auto Parts uniform...Before I could even finish any of my sentences, this gentleman would only keep saying in a rude tone āno, you bought them from advanced auto partsā.. Iām literally not even arguing with this guy, Iām just trying to figure out whatās going on because Iāve already tried returning them to an advanced auto parts and they said they couldnāt accept them either because itās not their receipt and not coming up in their system. The gentleman at this Carquest location could have at least tried looking up the items on my receipt or scanning the receipt but he insisted I bought them from advanced auto parts. So. Hereās proof of my purchase from Carquest Highlighted on my order in my screenshot attached. This guy needs some help in customer service skills and instead of trying to argue with someone that was just trying to get more information, might consider that he doesnāt have all the information, especially when companies are merging like this, and maybe be a little more helpful to the customer. I will add a gentleman that may have been a manager (dressed nicer) came out from the aisle and actually explained to me what was going on, and their databases have not merged yet. Iām fine with the principle of them not accepting my return, especially since it wasnāt the same location, but the gentleman behind the counter was just rude and unhelpful. Until one day I walked in to buy some Peak Anti Freeze. Same Anti Freeze I've used in my jeep for over ten years. Never had any problems. It was like $14 for a gallon jug. I set it up on the counter and this guy behind the counter say "Oh no you don't want that it will turn to gelatin in your car". He then takes the bottle off the counter and goes in the back and brings out this gold jug. I can't remember what is was but it was like $32. I get it he was trying to up sale me.
