They don’t know how to schedule without over lapping the program and they are inept and rude to try to get a schedule it changes more than on one occasion and they didn’t bother to call when the closed the center down the manager gives out information to the public on who us and who is not on the payroll and what classes they give options to over the ones designed to preference! The drill team has scheduled over Laps with the senior class that has been there for ten years and the mistreat the senior by telling us we can say hello or ask the little ones if they are ok and if could offer a kind word to then had 311 called by a parent and two deputies attending and taking the instructor off the floor which was uncalled for ! The management could have resolved this without treating the seniors with a issue that was minor and the policing was there as what appeared to be show of force over the seniors and ballroom Dancing! The staff over bias to nonsense and treating the seniors like a shoot em up has gone too far ! I am in awe on how mishandled the centers resolution is handled ! I personally would like to challenge the head of Human Resources and Garcia to let me give him An earful of honesty and resolve that could have been resolve if not just pushing bias weight around ! I have talked to the manager and have reference number but it appears she is not capable of handling a bunch of mild classy senior that are very polite over some childish inept unethical behavior! This is more of a click than a community center ! Our instructor has gone without remedy of getting simply normal adequate resolve over arrogance and ignorance! I would love to talk to Garcia over the management or oversight of poor treatment to seniors ! Please give me a time and a day ! There was no need to waste tax payers money for a ridiculous no threat no conflict then prejudiced over providing the members of the employees child’s best interests over the senior that have been attending for years and pay taxes longer then do a drill or cheer team that started out with several kids and down to about a few as in two or three ! Sad and pathetic! Our instructor was treated like dirt he is an Asian and his partner a white retired professional executive secretary and we are a group of law abiding citizens that are in our last years that should be given more respect then the sum of this mismanagement and the employees are providing the wrong protection for the wrong ethical treatment of the public over bias employees! I was asked not to try and resolve this but being an independent senior of high character and value and can’t allow any of these seniors be treated with less respect or empathy for our remaining years ! My granddaughter has attended the center on more than one occasion and think the senior show the most high priority for children and the wellbeing of children and all other people that we wish only to instill the love of...
Read morewas kicked out for putting finger nail hardner on bead in the foyer on the floor because i was offending the aarp meeting in the main hall with my very presence. The center couldnt even deliver a corner of a table and a chair the day before and offered me the foyer, which i gratefully accepted to get out of the wind. i was not selling anything , causing a disturbance, nothing but applying hardner to some beads to preserve color. im 56, retired and will NEVER join aarp or use this "community" center ever. evidently some members of the community are excluded from the use of the facility no matter how long tou have lived in the area or how much taxes...
Read moreA continuation of Clear Lake Park (located across the street on the water side) this building is such a clean, pretty place. During the week there are several free activities for senior citizens in the community and surrounding areas. The building is available for Saturday rentals but I hear the fee is too good of a deal that it books up fast! On this side of the park there is also an outdoor pavilion available for rentals, a historical museum, a pier, ball field, tennis courts, and a park with 2 play sets that would suit both larger kids...
