For Dave's Smokehouse - absolutely phenomenal customer service and great food. The pulled pork was spectacular. The sliced brisket was a bit lean for my taste, but still had a good flavor. Spare ribs were also very tasty. I didn't love the BBQ sauce (too sweet for me), but the food didn't need sauce anyway. The portions were generous! Overall, a great value. As for their customer service, the guy who took my order (younger guy with a light beard) was nice and gave great recommendations. The lady who was ringing up orders was very polite. While I was there, a customer came in with a limited grasp of English. As he was trying to order, she didn't get frustrated, but took the time to work through the menu with him so he got what he wanted. It made me very happy to have given them my business. They seem like a place that truly cares and wants to a part of the community.

For the butcher shop - prices seemed pretty reasonable and the people behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. I haven't tried the meat I bought yet (just put it in the fridge), but everything looked fresh, clean, and like it was prepared by people who truly cared...

My husband and I just recently discovered bay Area Meat Market & Deli and we are obsessed! They have a wide selection of beef, pork, chicken, even fish. Sausage in every flavor imaginable, marinated meats, the prettiest looking steaks and everything in between. What's more is that their prices are VERY comparable with the grocery store! Under $7 for a pound of GOOD quality ground chuck that literally has the trimmings from filet mignon and other cuts of steak. We got a pound chicken breast (which we appreciate is hormone free), jalapeno and cheese brisket sausage, 3 pounds of chuck, marinated fajita chicken, pre-cooked heat & eat chicken, a soft fresh baguette and a jar of beef tallow. First time here wont be the last. I am freaked out about meat glue and lab grown meat and the man behind the counter assured me they dont play that nonsense there. We got 3lbs ground for a steal, sausage that was THE BEST we have ever had, and the most delicious boudin we have had in a long time!! Even though there are tons of cool decor around it all seemed to be dust free. I cant tell you as a new meat eater how happy I am to have found this spot! Stay out the the grocery store for your meats and come check this gem out! They apparently have weekly specials as well! Make this your new place!! The hours are a bit annoying being closed on a weekend day Sunday and then Monday. Its like hairdresser hours. I have to go to another one because of how we do our shopping so we dont get to this one as much. Its a great place but the hours they choose to close shop make it hard...
