I was assisted by “Mrs. Tin,” who provided extremely poor customer service. From the start, she appeared visibly annoyed, maintained an unfriendly demeanor, and seemed disengaged with her role, to top it off the miscommunication from everyone I have interacted with from the very beginning has been very poor.
Earlier that day, I had already visited for a Social Security card replacement but was told my son’s immunization record could not be accepted because it lacked a stamp. Whomever assisted me at that time was the only one who was courteous and understanding, and kindly rescheduled me for later in the afternoon, knowing I was on my lunch break from work. I then took the time to travel to my son’s doctor’s office, obtain the required stamp, and then left work early to return for my rescheduled appointment that same day. However, this time I was assigned to, Mrs. Tin who refused the same records because the stamp “did not bleed through the paper.” I immediately contacted the doctor’s office, and they confirmed that a new stamp was unnecessary and that the documentation provided was valid. When this was confirmed, she then stated that not only did I need the stamp, but also the time and date of when it was stamped.
This inconsistency in requirements caused significant inconvenience and loss of work hours. Due to this miscommunication, I now have to reschedule once again, resulting in additional missed time from work.
Clear and detailed communication of requirements prior to appointments are essential and if such strict criteria is going to be enforced, they must be explicitly state to customers in advance to avoid unnecessary delays, repeated visits, and loss of work hours.
This matter & all else should be reviewed and addressed promptly to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
Additionally, the overall negative attitude displayed by staff is unacceptable..almost every visit here is met with employees who seem irritated or unwilling to assist. This needs to be addressed to ensure a respectful and professional environment for the public. Sooo...
Read moreWorst government office I had ever seen. I am refugee from Ukraine. I applied for SSN with all my documents from human services on 5th of January. Worker said that we will get SSN in 2 -4 weeks. Me, wife and 2 kids. I visited this office at least 10 times. Every time I got totally different answers in different windows. Workers didn't know what to do and how to do. Today is 24 of March, they found that on January their worker made mistake and applied our SSN incorrectly. So they reapply all again. At whole, I have information for writing a book about this office and my awful experience with them. For example, at Friday 1 week ago 1 person in the window said, your documents approved wait to Monday and we will process SSN. In the same time other person in this building is writing me a letter that they cannot give SSN, because my 2 years old child doesn't have work permission. But this my baby already got work permission card from USCIS and it's in my hands. And in few days I got a Letter about we cannot give you SSN. Today after 3 months I reapplied application again. At morning I made it for my 2 children, and at afternoon my wife came and reapplied it for her, but process was totally different from children's. It confirms that every worker has different instructions or hasn't it at whole. It's awful, crazy and bureaucracy. My family has work permissions but not has SSN because SSN workers cannot work and don't know what to do. Be aware of this office. Go to something...
