I never leave reviews and I really hate to leave a negative one but I found myself downtown Paul's Valley and decided to go into this place to look at their gold necklaces. Did not know walking into this shop meant I should've brought a background check and a letter of recommendation just to browse.
The necklace I was looking at was priced pretty high and any smart person would obviously ask questions before just handing over a good amount of cash. I asked some basic questions like the grams, length, and thickness--and also asked how pawnshops generally work, since I'm not too familiar with them. Instead of answering respectfully, he did in a short dismissive way. After asking if he had a mirror I could see it up close, He then went on to tell me no because he didn't know who I was and wouldn't let me see what the necklace looked like in the mirror because I was asking "weird questions and accused me of asking questions I already knew the answers to.. He obviously had misplaced suspicion and was more concerned that the chain might have been stolen from me and I was trying to reclaim it than actually helping me. I say this because when he went to grab the necklace at the first of our interaction he asked me if I had a chain stolen, which I told him no (extremely caught off guard by what seemed like a left field question) as I am leaving the store he tried to defend his obvious suspicion of me by again mentioning it may have bed stolen from me and not knowing me a second time which was strange. I should have left sooner and not even wasted my breath trying to defend myself as a genuine buyer interested in some gold.
I definitely left feeling uncomfortable, judged, and very confused especially to the fact he was being rude to me because he thought the item may have been stolen from me? Pretty weird and unprofessional. I came in as a buyer and was treated like a suspect. Feel sorry for someone who does try to go in there to recover stolen property. I won't be returning. Hopefully he'll start treating unfamiliar faces with the same respect he gives his regulars probably wouldn't hurt his sales or...
Read moreThe owner/runner is a liar, a cheat and a thief. I reckon the combination makes him a bad person.
He took full advantage of an autistic boy and sold him a fly fishing rod for $130.00 with no receipt. Upon discovery, the autistic boy was told to take it back and get a refund since a fly fishing rod can be bought at Walmart for less than 30 bucks. The owner/runner threw a fit like a little boy and did not want to comply. There was no sign in place saying "All sales are final" or "no refunds."
IIf the store doesn't post any return policy, the law requires the store to accept returns within 30 days of purchase. ... If a merchant doesn't have a refund policy posted, the consumer is entitled to a refund in Oklahoma.
Not only did he took FULL advantage of a minor. He manipulated a person of disability. WE WILL NEVER GIVE HIM OUR BUSINESS...
Read moreDo not go to this guy. Extremely disrespectful. A friend of mine and I went in to see about selling a ring we did not know the value of, after asking what we wanted for it and giving him a random number [again we didn’t know because we’re not jewelers] he proceeded to simply toss the ring and my friend and told him “go smoke your crack pipe some more, take your loss and go” my friend has been in recovery for years and yes he looks a rough, big guy with tattoos, but he did not deserve the disrespect. Go...
