I cannot, in good conscience, recommend that anyone give this facility their patronage.
The standards of safety at this range are insufficient for me to ever want to return.
Today's experience was the second time I've seen problematic conduct, and I will not afford the opportunity for a third.
Here's what transpired today:
As I was packing up (at around 1 PM), a couple of men at the 4 lanes down were doing the same.
The problem was that, instead of casing his firearm at the bench, this person proceeds to flag the entire firing line with an AR pattern pistol, as he goes to case it up by the bench at the back wall.
So why am I holding the range accountable for the actions of a customer? 2 reasons:
My wife, who was waiting in the lobby, watched the entire event unfold on the very prominently displayed CCTV screens while the 2 staff members that weren't currently helping customers appeared to be more engrossed in whatever entertainment was on another one of the screens. She had no formal training besides the state carry permit class, and it was immediately evident to her that there was an issue.
When I brought this to the attention of the staff, there was no urgency and based on tone & body language, didn't appear to be treated as a serious offense.
There was at least one other AR patterned pistol that I saw allowed to enter & leave the range uncased.
Additionally, a shooter was permitted on the firing line despite wearing flip-flops, which is another serious safety hazard.
I've also seen several employees permitted to carry in SERPA holsters, such have such a well-documented history of safety problems that they're banned by multiple Law Enforcement & private training academies by name.
The initial issue from several months ago was when I witnessed several shooters, including STAFF, uncasing & handling guns behind the firing line.
At this point it's enough of a pattern that I feel people need to be made aware.
This isn't trivial stuff and people can easily get hurt.
(They also chose to block me on Facebook after I shared this same review.)
UPDATE -
While I appreciate the response, I'm skeptical at best.
This was the same reply I got the last time when I emailed the company about staff handling guns behind the firing line.
How many chances do...
Read moreFrank - you are extremely rude and disturbed in my opinion. You provided shaky customer service from the start and didn't think to speak calmy, instead raised your voice.
Reason for this review is your disrespectfulness. There's is no excuse.
I'd came to you respectfully asking you a question about your shooting-area. You asked questions about my dad....I told him about it. I was advised when he went to you for an answer - you had amnesia. We won't be comming back to your location. Atleast I won't. Do you put your life on the line daily? How dare you talk to someone, or anyone for that matter so disrespectfuly? It won't be put up with at all --- You were trembling and rushing from the beginning as if you wanted to argue and battle.
Further, since you now have mine and others personal information on file, its an uncomfortable feeling seeing your reactions and service overall as I talked about. Take this as Written Notice to safekeep the personal information, i.e. DL numbers and addresses etc.
I also noticed there are past reviews of you all's rudeness. You should also watch your language; especially having already given poor service. Range is clean, but the physical range does not reflect your Attitude. This ought to be addressed further, and I'll...

There employee instantly tells me and my brother who drove all the way here from far away, "Hey are you here for the range? I said yes and the employee than said "We closing one hour prior to our store business hours. So the cut off time for the range is 1 hour before 7pm.
Don't drive all the way here thinking they will let you in the range at 6pm... we were planing to wrap up as soon as everyone else that was there was going to wrap up, we get employees want to get off on time, we would not want them to stay longer than they have to. I went knowing I would pay for a full hour even though I would only get about 30mins zero'ing my new optic.
Oh well, I googled range near them, closest one was Top Gun Range.. They close at 8pm.. drove there straight from this place, about 25mins away.. so worth it, they check us in, and even told us we can stay longer if we like after closing but brother and I finished in a timely manner as planned. Thank you...
